Hi Rob,
Just wanted to welcome you and say I can really relate to the not doing and being all I can and want to be thing. Sorry to hear about your back step tonight. You've found a great place to talk about things, everyone here is really friendly and helpful. It sounds like you have an idea of who and what you'd like to be, and that's a pretty good thing to have. Hope to catch you around.
Bill.

Hi rob19,
I too welcome you to the community here, I see that Bill Has offered you some kind words and a welcome as well. (Hi Bill! Lovely to see you spreading your wings on the forum)
Rob, one thing I have learnt with anxiety and panic attacks is that they happen at the most inconvenient times and I have to accept that. I don't feel embarrassed by them anymore, to me that just makes me feel less able to accept them.
If you don't mind me asking, are you seeing someone to help with your anxiety?
In the past, what has helped you?
Have you read much material on how to deal with anxiety? I find the more I learn about my conditions the better I am able to understand how I act and react.
There is information on the Beyond Blue website about depression and many threads here on this forum.
Hope you feel welcome here.
Cheers from Dools

Hi rob19,
It is wonderful to read you have a supportive partner, that can certainly help! People may not understand how we feel when we have a panic attack, to have them accept it happens is beneficial.
Can you feel the panic attacks coming on? Sometimes I can divert my thoughts and feelings before I go into a full blown attack, other times that just doesn't happen.
Would you like to explain what part of the attacks you dislike the most? For me it is not feeling like I am in control of the situation.
Later on I sometimes think about what I could have done differently.
I was having regular panic attacks at the employment agency. I tried to change how I felt approaching the place. It certainly helped when I was given a different consultant as well. I even made an extra appointment so I was going there on my terms and not when I was told I had to. That gave me a greater sense of control and power.
Please know you are welcome to share your concerns and thoughts here.
Also, one step back may be a time for reflection and thoughts on how to move forward again. It does not have to mean you have been knocked out and can't get up again.
Cheers to you from Dools

Hi Rob, and thanks for posting your comment.
There is an old saying which you may know and it says ' you may cause yourself anxiety by worrying about things that you can't control', I'm not sure whether this situation applies to what happened, or whether it's way off target.
What are your chances of this actually happening or is it just the thought that it may
