I'm unsure if I'm doing this intro in the right area!
My name is Clinton, and I have just Joined Blue Voices. I live in Coffs Harbour with my Wife and 3 adult children. I have a Corporate job and a side hustle Business so life is Busy / Stressful
I was inspired to Join after hearing a volunteer give a talk at a recent event and share her story about mental health and her own personal battles.
Last year, I was at my Lowest Point and planning the end; however, by slightly opening up to a couple of people and then seeking some professional help, I'm still here. Life still has challenges some days/ weeks but it is on the improve most days.
Anyway, I would like to do more. I find when I share my stories, others open up and share too, and if I can help just one person, that would be great.

Hi Clinton,
Welcome to the forums and yes this is the right place for an introduction.
It is so good when someone's story can spark the inspiration and take you on a new path. I also wanted to help others with my personal experience of mental health issues. I kind of stumbled on the forums one day and realised that was a way to do exactly that. It is a really kind and caring community so I hope you will feel at home here. I would suggest just looking at the different areas of the forums to get yourself acquainted with the different topics and when you see a post that you feel you could help with, dive in. That's pretty much how we all get started and build confidence in how to respond to posts.
I'm so glad you took the leap of faith and opened up, just that one decision can change the trajectory you are on for the better, I have been there too, as have most of us.
Feel free to reply to this post if you need any help with navigating the forums.
Happy to have you here,
indigo

Hello Clinton,
Welcome and nice to see you in these forums. Thank you for sharing your powerful journey with us.
So happy you took that first courageous step and reached out to few people. Being vulnerable is not a weakness, but a strength to live a better life.
I totally agree with you, even if we are able to help one person that would make a big difference and give immense satisfaction.
This was one of the many reasons that motivated me to join and help others with my own experience of mental health challenges.
Please reach out if you need anything, happy to listen and help if you feel like sharing more...
Take care
Happylife
