New and Very lost

Hi,

I am new here and I am pretty sure I need help but I am too embarrassed to talk to anyone. I have tried a lot of the tools and things on the Website and they help a bit (particularly my action plan) but it is not enough. Some of my thoughts scare me but whenever I refer to the action plan I can usually get through the dark times but it seems to be getting harder. Anyway this is my first step and it has taken me months to get this far.

Dear Lost73~

I'm very pleased you have come here. This place exists for people like you who are struggling with dark times. I and many others have faced them and come though the other side, not just for the moment, but to a better life.

I know it would have been hard to make your very first post, but now it is done and the ice has been broken. We are gentle, non judgmental and have our own unhappy times to draw on and make for understanding.

Those thoughts are frightening, they've frightened me, thinking they may come back too strong. If you find you are being overwhelmed please give our 24/7 help line on 1300 22 4636 a call. The sound of a caring human voice can be a real balm at those times.

Lifeline 131114 on and particularly the suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467 are good to use as well.

You already know about our Safety/Action Plan, I'm very glad it has been of use. The BeyondNow app from the same page is pretty good to reach for too.

Now that we are talking do you think you would like to write again and talk more about yourself? There is no pressure, it's just to give good advice and relate to you we would like to know a little more. There is no need to worry about facts getting out, this place is quite secure.

You could say if you have a family or friends - anyone to support and care for you, if you are undergoing any sort of treatment, and just about your life in general. Things that are troubling you now.

If you have the energy you might browse this Forum to see how others in similar circumstances have coped.

Please feel the care and understanding that is here ready for you and post some more
