I'm new. It's taken 3yrs to get the courage to even get onto a site like this & I've chosen Beyond Blue to begin. Let alone to write in a forum! That's a huge step. But here I am so hello everyone. I know it's going to be hard for me as I'm "old school" & keep things to myself. However due to a nervous breakdown 3yrs ago, then a work injury a year after that (still suffering from). Followed by a chain of events including a family heartache, Has now left me dealing with another breakdown a month ago. I'm at the point of I just don't know what to do. I have a supporting husband but I feel I can't keep being down around him & crying all the time when he's home, it adds to my stress that I feel It's not fair on him. But it's so hard to pretend im ok.
Been having counselling since the first breakdown & it's continuing also for my increased anxiety since my injury.
I'm on medication for anxiety/depression and pain meds, so I'm always feeling spacy. But since my latest headache (recent) breakdown 1mth ago they are back because I can't handle the constant panic attacks & tears!
Believe it or not this a just a snapshot of my hell. I'd be here all night & into next week if I got into it all. Just soooo tired of being like this. If anyone has read this thank you. Again, I'm new so not sure how it all works.

Hi, Treading-Water
Welcome to the forum 🙂 great to see you here I'm also quite new here.
As someone who likes to keep things to myself, I find here is a wonderful place. People are supportive here but also would leave you to it if some own time is needed.
Glad to hear you have a supporting partner and you are also considerate of him. It is very important to have a close support system. I don't think we can disclose too much about medical conditions and drugs here since we are not experts and may give misinformation. I actually had several times of panic attacks today which was more time than usual, which made me feel quite uncomfortable... (odd feelings of internal vibration) but besides that, there are lots of things to talk about, worries, relief, happy things, achievement etc.
It must be hard for you to go through all these struggles, we are here to listen. So feel free to share more.

Hi Treading-Water,
Wellcome to our forums and I’m glad that you found us.
Im so sorry for what you are currently going through I understand that it’s difficult for you.
I understand anxiety and how it feels to be living in an internal hell…….. I have a lived experience of severe anxiety OCD my nervous system took a battering twice in my life it was a really hard place to be in…. I also suffered panic attacks…….
I like you had a very supportive husband he’d see me in tears a lot but we got through it…. Be you around your husband please don’t feel like you have to pretend…. He loves you and wants to support you.
I have now recovered from what I went through…… I seeked professional help….. I don’t know where I’d be today without their help.
Im glad that you have professional help…… has any type of therapy been suggested to you?
There are better days ahead of you, hang in there.
Here to support you ❤️🙏

Hello Trending-Water, people want to post a comment on this site but look at what they've said, then alter it, add something different and in the end delete it, I'm sure most of us have done this when we started, but so pleased you are now here with us.
To have a supporting husband is great and it's not how you think they are feeling but how they actually behave to try and help you.
You have had a terrible time when struggling from one event onto another and then perhaps something else and all of this has the effect to make you struggle and we are terribly sorry.
If the medication is making you feel 'spacy' are you able to get your doctor to review what you are taking.
There must be much for you to cover but can I suggest you try and write down these different topics, any overlay between them and how you are able to respond to each of them.
Take care.
Geoff.

Hello Treading-Water, so glad you have posted. I understand it is difficult to join & open yourself to strangers on an internet forum. Remember, these forums are anonymous,& monitored & moderated, to protect us. I've met some very caring & kind people here, & have found support when I've needed.
Welcome, & know you are not alone. I'm not sure what the actual proportion is, but there are quite a number of people here, who have been living with both physical & mental health conditions, often for many years. & you've also been through various life-changing events. These are sure to have taken a toll.
It's great to have a supportive husband. How much are you able to talk together about how you are feeling & how he can help? I think, if you leave him guessing, he's only going to feel, perhaps, frustrated, helpless, confused, to name a few possible emotions he may be experiencing.
Take your time. You don't have to answer anything you don't want to. You might prefer to sit back & think about the various responses, or what you might read on other threads, instead. How you use this space is your choice.
I think Geoff has a good idea, to ask for a review of medications, so hopefully you can find meds that don't leave you spacey. I couldn't advise more than that.
Warm regards,
mmMekitty
