Hello,
I feel like my stock pile of hope is running out. The older I get the less I think there is another better life in the future. This might just be it.
I feel like I just want to stop/have a break, but I can't have one, and it probably wouldn't be helpful anyway. If I stop moving I may not start again. I'm already heading towards doing the bare minimum. As hard as it is I need to keep going, at least for my children's sake.
I'm letting down all the people who I love the most. I wish they had better. I wish I was better.

Thank you geoff. I appreciate your words. It is good to know I am not the only one, but sad that anyone feels this way.
I think it would be easier for me if I bring my husband. I will talk to him about it. 🙂

Hi EMMEK,
That's great to read that you do agree seeing a doctor again could really help you... As you can tell, there is a lot of support on here and we are all more than happy to talk to you and help and give advice where we can but seeing a good GP and a good psychologist work hand in hand as well with this... in the words of a great member on these forums, Paul (blondguy)... you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
My best,
Jay

Emmek, awesome to hear that you are going to the GP and taking your husband is a really good idea. Geoff makes a really good point above in that you may forget to tell them something so your hubby is there as a safety blanket as well.
Mark.

I went to the doctor today. I needed to take my daughter, and so I waited to see which doctor was available. One that has gained my trust in the past was the first one offered, so I made an appointment for myself too. It was spur of the moment, so husband didn't come. I have made another appointment for next week to see the doctor again while we wait for the other stuff to be organised. The doctor would like my husband to come to that one. I'm not sure if he will make it though, as his job is at a fairly important stage.
I'm just waiting for the shame and/or regret to hit me for exposing my inner self to somebody face to face. 😞 I know it's the right thing but it's really like being emotionally naked with a stranger, even if it is a doctor.

EMMEK, awesome that you have made that booking, really happy for you.
Should shame or regret hit you at any stage, I want you to tell yourself that there is no shame nor should there be regret for looking after you own health. Not in the slightest.
Your health is the most important thing, more important than anything else as without your health, life is exceedingly difficult.
What you have done takes courage and I congratulate you on that - you have put yourself into a position where you have given yourself the best chance of recovery. Awesome.
Mark.

Hi EMMEK
i just wanted to congratulate you on the steps you have completed so far. Even just reaching out here and to your gp is such a positive step in the right direction. Shame and regret are horrible emotions that many of us here feel but please know that they are often unfounded. Recognising this can help.
It sounds as though you have a lovely husband and kids which will help you start living again. A little bit of hope can go a long way. All the best to you - we are here thinking of you.

Hi EMMEK,
My apologies, I haven't been on the forums for a while but just wanted to see how everything is going? Did your husband make it to the doctors appointment with you?
My best,
Jay
