Hi BurntCrumpet,

Hello and a warm welcome to the forums!!!

Really happy to hear you have people who care about you, your religion and professional care that is helping. This is really important if you are going through mental health challenges.

You are so kind in helping and encouraging others. It is quite common and difficult to accept/receive help from others. Receiving is part of life. Accepting help/encouragement requires us to be vulnerable and give up control which is sometimes difficult. But being vulnerable is not a weakness, it is a sign of strength "Being weak is strong".

If I may ask, is there anything stopping you from receiving encouragement from others, do you feel you don't deserve it?

When you receive, you also give other people an opportunity to give. It's good to embrace the moment, feel the love and be grateful.

Encouragement from others will give you a sense of validation, helps you to appreciate your strengths and will help you feel less alone in your struggles. It also develops a sense of community where you feel more connected.

Hope this helps and you feel more happier to receive encouragement. Here to listen if you need...

Take care
