Hi, I’m new to this and just looking for somewhere to chat. I’m feeling odd these days. Just tired and groggy all the time. Worried about everything but I can’t seem to find the will power to do anything about It.
a lot of the time I’ll be fine and the next second I’ll be unable to control tears from falling or my mood will just shift and it’s never for the better. I’m not exactly going through a rough patch, I know I’m really lucky with what I have and I am grateful for it. It’s just that I can’t stop worrying about weather I’m doing the right thing, if I’ll get yelled at for being wrong and my mind always goes to worst case scenario first. It’s really tiring.
what confuses me is, where do I go from here to help my mind be a little kinder to myself and feel more confident and calm.
thanks if you’ve read this, it feels good to get that off my chest and talk about it.

Hi Munch,
Welcome to Beyond Blue and well done for reaching out.
And yes, I agree; it always makes me feel better when I get things off my chest. Although I must admit, on reading your post, I found myself wondering about some things; such as 'is this person a female who is at the age of menopause, or a male who has perhaps recently had a change in their situation, such as a new job, or a lost relationship'? .... etc, etc.
You mentioned that you're "not exactly going through a rough patch, I know I’m really lucky with what I have and I am grateful for it" which also makes me wonder if you have spoken to anyone else about what you have been feeling lately? Like someone such as a family member, or a friend, or even your doctor perhaps? Maybe you could also consider talking to a counselor about things. Do you think that my help?
Of course, you can also just keep coming back here, and reply to this thread as much as you like. And you don't need to 'book in' here! Beyond Blue is 'open' all the time.
Anyway, I don't know if that helps or not. I hope it does at least a little?
Take care. I'll be thinking of you. xo

Hi Munch
It is so great that you have reached out for some support here and to come to chat to get how you are feeling off your chest, how do you feel after getting all that emotion out?
We are here to chat and to give you some comfort at what seems to be a really challenging time for you as you are not sure where to go and where to from here to get some assistance in being kind to you. I am so glad to read that , the being kind to you part, it is so very important to treat ourselves with love and to be kind to ourselves and it is so important to reach out when you feel like you cant do that well, so good on you.
I really can't stress enough the value in speaking to your GP about how you are feeling, if you feel like it would be awkward or hard to express, you could always take this post as you have expressed really well your confusion and how you are feeling. The GP will have some tools and some ways to help you with this. At anytime too you can always give the Beyond Blue line a call on 1300 22 4636, if you feel like you want to talk to a person rather than type here, there are some really wonderful and caring people there too who can perhaps give you some ideas too.
Can I also say this, you did mention that mostly things in your life are good and you have things to be grateful for, that is wonderful to hear, I just want to say though that anxiety and depression don't really get too picky with who they effect and everyone and anyone can suffer. I am just so pleased that you do have a lovely life, albeit these feelings of worry.
I hope to chat with you some more Munch.
Hugs
AS
