Hi Kevin,
It is an amazing journey you have taken. Cabanatuan was a little like Sri Lanka in that I couldn't talk about being gay out of that same fear. The people that I knew there don't talk to me any more. My dad is like that too, me being gay does not exist for him. But I think the other parts of that relationship are worth it even if he does upset me with what he sometimes says. It's complicated I guess.
I should get myself to work, talk more later.
Rob.

Hi Rob,
I hope one day your father will love, accept and respect you for who you are and make you feel comfortable to be yourself around him.
Hope to hear from you soon. Have a great day.
Kevin.

Hi Kevin, Just a note about talking to your GP. Go for it. Everything you talk to your GP about is covered by privacy laws. So it is all strictly confidential. So any prospective employer cannot ask your GP about you. (There may be a very few cases where they can - very high level government jobs (jobs in which you need higher that 'top secret' security level clearance). But they would tell you that before the job application.)
Plus I would just like to say Hello.

Hello Marharet,
How are you?
Thank you very much for your helpful advice regarding talking to a GP. I appreciate you taking the time to assist me with this valuable information.
It was nice of you to say hi 🙂
Hope you are well. Please do not be a stranger. Come say hi to me anytime.
Take care. Have a wonderful afternoon.
Kevin.

Hi Kevin,
Here I am at the other end of the day. I've been thinking, it seems from what you have said that making your own group of friends closer to your age would help and is probably the thing to start doing first. If you stay in that relationship or leave it might be down to what the alternative looks like, but I'm not sure that is as important to you right now. Regardless remember to do those little things that keep you happy.
Wishing you a happy Friday.
Rob.

Hi Rob,
So good to hear from you. Thank you for the advice. There's lots to consider. I will think, reflect, and decide what's best for my health, happiness, and well-being in the long-run.
Have a splendid day.
Kevin.
