First time on here a bit nervous and anxious about talking. Lost brother to suicide 13 yrs found him, lost dad to cancer 5 yrs.
Feel like I've had trauma since I was young. Some not so nice memories.
But how do you hold one accountable some 45+ yrs later, with only brief glimpses of what really took place.
Some days are just harder than others.
Menopause to top it off.

Hello Muddled6976
Welcome to the forum and welcome to a safe and wonderful community where you can get some support and some care. I am so sorry that you too have had to live with suicide in your family and more devastatingly that you found him. I cannot even imagine the pain and the shock that goes with that. Then to lose your father to cancer is so very hard too, you sure have had so very much to deal with in your life. I am so glad that you have opened up and that you are talking, I hope you do feel some small relief in doing so here today.
I just was hoping to get some clarity on when you mentioned "how do you hold someone accountable some 45+ yrs later?" I just don't want to assume what you mean here.
Some days really are harder than others, some days you have reminders of events and you can accept it and move past it in that time and other days it brings you to your knees, I know the crippling pain of suicide too so I can imagine what you are going through also.
I am a 45 yr old woman and thankfully have not started Menopause as yet but have seen my mother and even some of my friends experience with it. I am not looking forward to it, however I am hoping I get off lightly.
I would really like to chat to you some more Muddled6976, you are in a safe place here to express what you are going through and how you are feeling with no judgement and just support in return.
I am so proud you have reached out today.
Huge hugs to you
Sarah xxxx

Welcome to BB. I hope over time you find this a warm, comforting and safe place to come to for support and connection. I am sorry to hear of your troubles and the heartbreak you are and have endured. I cannot offer a lot right now, however I can offer you a warm (cyberhug) if that is OK? Please be very kind and gentle on yourself today. You deserve that. Sending so much love to you.
