Does anyone else have a constant buzzing or vibrating feeling in their hands and feet?

Hi everyone, I’m curious if anyone else experiences this.

For years I’ve had a constant buzzing or tingling feeling in my hands and feet. It feels almost like an internal vibration. It’s there from the moment I wake up and stays until I go to sleep.

I’ve had blood tests done and everything came back normal. My doctor and psychiatrist think it could be related to my nervous system being stuck in a stress response after years of anxiety.

I’ve recently started treatment and medication to try and calm my nervous system, but I’m really curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.

It would honestly just be nice to know I’m not the only one dealing with this.

Thanks for reading.

Dear Nikki~

Welcome back to the Forum, and I think if you looked around you would find may people who have had physical reactions to mental health issues.

It is a very worrying thing to have an unexplained constant bodily reaction, however you have done the right thing and made sure that this is not a physical health matter, leaving it as probably being a reaction to your anxiety. By starting treatment for this I hope as your anxiety improves the buzzing goes away.

I had a lot of different reactions, the closest to yours being the shakes and constant trembling. Lots of other things too. As my anxiety conditon got better due to therapy and meds these physical symptoms lessened and in some cases have stopped entirely.

I would hope the same happens with you, if you felt like keeping us up to date that would be great
