How to get help?

Can anyone suggest how I can get help with mental health issues. I've approached ACT Mental Health several times, and each time they have told me to "go away".

Hi Mark_H,

Welcome to the community here.

Sorry to read you have not had success with obtaining help with your mental health.

Have you talked with your Dr about how you are feeling?

Is it possible for you to get a Mental Health Care Plan through your GP? This may assist you in receiving subsidised appointments with a psychologist depending on the services available.

If you telephone the Beyond Blue support line on 1300 22 4636, they may be able to help you in finding assistance.

A site called "Head to Health" may have some online suggestions for you.

I hope you are able to receive some help and assistance.

Regards from Dools

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to check in on you and make sure you were doing alright. In addition to what @Doolhof has said, if you are a student you can maybe see a school counselor, or if you work speak to your manager in case you have a workplace therapist or counselor. Additionally, you can also try to talk to a teacher you feel comfortable with, or family and friends.

Hope you are okay 🙂
