Hi Mark, sounds like your son is going well. It's been unbelievably hot and muggy here, we finally got a huge thunderstorm late yesterday with some wonderful rain, but now the sun is coming out again and it's getting all steamy and we are in for yet another hot week. I am so over summer. I thought by now it would start cooling down a bit as March is very close now.
Brucie the cat was terrified of the thunderstorm and hid for hours. All sort of things scare him and I am slowly working out what they are and what things are OK. I got some Greenies treats for him yesterday to use as bribes and he absolutely loves the crunchy treats.

My cat loves thunder storms and sits on my motorbike in the undercover area and watches them.If you bring him inside she just wants to go outside and watch it.I had a little storm last night here.

Hi Mark,
Wow I don't think Bruce is up to sitting on a motorbike watching a storm yet! It wasn't too bad today and I went for a good walk this evening, the first time in ages it's been cool enough. I do miss walking with my dog though.
I have been googling cat foods and it's positively scary what is in some of them. I will try to get him some whole food like chicken hearts/necks as a change. The brand I have been feeding him is one of the better ones which is good.
I was watching movies of dancing in musicals, especially ones like Sweet Charity, the Fossey ones that he choreographed. I did dancing a lot as a young thing and once only danced in a chorus line, but what these dancers can do is amazing and I love watching them. I like some of Michael Jackson too.
I'm going to relax with a pot of favourite tea - Bruce is anxious to get outside and get at the birds and he has tried climbing up the screen door which I have to stop him doing!
I hope your kids are doing OK. How are you veggie/fruit trees etc after the long hot summer?

Hi Mark, I sure hope it cools down here before May! Yesterday evening was the first evening in months it was cool enough for me to take myself for a nice walk - but this week is heatwave again all week. It was so nice yesterday just to be able to go for a pleasant cool evening stroll.
Sorry to hear your son is unwell, hope it's something minor and he recovers soon. He's had a difficult start to the year poor kid.
Gosh the mangoes sound nice! I haven't bought any this season - I just don't think fruit from the supermarkets is ever much good - as a kid we used to go to Bilpin each autumn and buy up the lovely fresh apples off the trees and their apple juice, the flavours were wonderful. Where I lived before there are roadside fruit stalls and also we used to go the outlying farms where you can purchase products direct from the farmers - I have never forgotton how the pumpkins used to be almost melt-in-your-mouth. The fruit in the supermarkets as I understand it, has been stored for a year sometimes. I often find the strawberries almost tastless - fresh picked anywhere they are delicious.
Got my car plastic headlight covers redone 3 months ago for Rego as they had fogged up from the sun, which apparently happens to them - but 3 months later they are all peeling off - went to the mechanic today and the car has to go back again for a day to get them redone, which is a real nuisance, but at least they realize they have to do it for no cost for me.
Poor old kitty is wiped out from the heat. I've been googling cat foods and it's horrifying what's in some of them! The RSPCA and a few other organizations have their own websites about what to feed your cat. Fortunately the one I am feeding Brucie seems to be one of the best ones.
