Going At Your Own Gentle Pace

Hi all,

Below is the name of an article that I just read and enjoyed. Although a slightly provocative headline, I see it as having a balanced approach and reasonable outlook for how to face the coming weeks and months.

The key takeaway for me is to: remember to be gentle with ourselves and with each other right now. Everyone is different, we all process things differently and we're all doing the best we can.

"Why You Should Ignore All That Coronavirus-Inspired Productivity Pressure" by Aisha S. Ahmad on Chronicle website.

Enjoy!

Nico

Hi Nico B,

Thanks for sharing - I had read this a little while ago and found it really 'balanced' also. I have referenced the article a number of times to people who are feeling really unmotivated and flat especially when so many people are posting all the 'productive' things they are doing at home on social media. This productivity pressure is really important to acknowledge. We have been given a very big serve of information and are require to all adjust to life as we know it and this takes time and space to digest. Each person will do this differently and at a different pace, even people who live in the same house.

Thanks for sharing again.

Be kind (gentle) to yourselves, and each other.

Thanks for the response Nurse Jenn.

There's no need to compare yourself to others - just do what feels right for you 🙂
