Hello Glenda, welcome to the forum. You are very welcome here, we support people experiencing mental illness as well as their carers and loved ones. We have a special board for carers if you want to have a look there.
I have bipolar as well, so I understand a little of what your husband is experiencing. And even though his treatment started nine months ago, it could still be early days - it really does take time for medications to settle in and sometimes changes of meds or dosages are needed till we reach a therapeutic level.
It's possible the conversion disorder was triggered by the sad passing of his dad. Has he had any grief counselling or psychotherapy? This might help. I know CD is a mysterious and frightening condition, and the effectiveness of treatment options are not always clear. I have read though that psychotherapy has been effective in some cases.
Please feel free to chat here any time Glenda. And, please take care of you while you're caring for your husband. That's essential.
Very best to you
Kaz
