Hi Caz56,
As Paul mentioned above, it is great to have you here and a huge welcome from everyone of this wonderful community! You will notice that these forums are an extremely safe, caring and non-judgemental place where everyone is extremely passionate about mental health and offer great support and insight to people struggling at present.
Sorry to hear that your daughter is struggling at present but it will get better. What your experiencing is extremely common in this day and age unfortunately. However, there are so many services out there that would love to hear from you and your daughter.
As Paul mentioned above, it would be great if you could share some more information with us regarding you and your daughters situation. This would allow us to provide you with more accurate information and services that may be applicable to your situation.
Things to get better and pain and negative feelings/emotions are temporary. Time is an important part of the recovery/treatment process.
Below are some services/information that may assist you:
- Kids Helpline (telephone and online counselling for ages 5-25 years, their parents and carers)
- Headspace 1800 650 890 (mental health service for ages 12-25 years) - A great organisation who you may consider contacting as they will provide you and your daughter with a holistic approach to her well-being!
- ReachOut (youth mental health service)
- SANE Australia
- Family Referral Service
- The Children of Parents with a Mental Illness national initiative (COPMI)
Hope this helps and look forward to hearing back from you.
All the best,
Nick.
