Hi, welcome
I'm sorry you feel this way. What we can offer you? Well we are lived experienced people as opposed to professionals. Yes you are now corresponding to someone that has also made a suicide attempt and to a lesser degree self harmed. That has some benefits as I know what you are enduring and also I'm a success story, I've made it, I'm 66yo, happy family, financially secure etc, however I have a daughter that is in your situation so not all good.
It would be far more helpful if you feel free to put down in words more about your life. This forum is fully anonymous so no one will know unless you tell them. Your life, age, family details that are relevant. Anything you like. You'll also help others in the same situation.
I've been here nearly 10 years. I've read this so many times. Let me help eh.

Hi Kai
Can you think of anyone close to you that you want to especially talk to, when it comes to discussing how you're feeling? Picking the best person or people is always a good start. Then comes working out how you're going to speak to them, especially how you're going to open the conversation. Kai, you've already started the process of opening up by coming here. How to continue this process sounds so incredibly challenging for you and understandably. It's far from an easy conversation to have and one we never imagine our self having to have until we feel that deep overwhelming need.
Kai, I figured out some years ago there will always be a part of me that looks after me within periods of depression, no matter how deep the depression is. It's a part of me that insists 'You need to speak to someone. You can't do this on your own' or 'Things have gotten so bad and you haven't realised until now' or 'Feeling this way doesn't make you weak, it simply proves you are someone who feels deeply'. So hard to hear this part of us when things are at their worst. Perhaps it is what brought you here. If so, I'm so glad you listened.
