I've never posted to a forum before. I apologise if my etiquette is off.
I'm 16, and I live at home with my mother and some siblings. Recently I relapsed into self-harm. I don't want to go down this road again, as it always leads to other behaviours. I don't know where to go to get confidential help without parental permission. For many complex reasons I cannot speak to them about this. I have no other family relatives or "trusted adults" in my life.
I want to know how to help myself. Could anyone tell me?

Hi, welcome
You've done well.
Every state has their own laws regardling seeing a doctor as a minor. If you google
can a minor consult a GP without parental permission Australia
You'll come across a site "youth law Australia" where you can insert your own state then find out if you can make an appointment and be seen by a doctor alone.
One of the most difficult things for us as peer advisors to accomplish is a member seeking professional help and you are doing just that at 16yo, so hats off to you.
As someone that has had a attempt on their life and self harmed once there's several ways to obtain help but most need a GP's authority. Here, being members or community champions, we can advise you through our own lived experiences.
In my case I lived most of my 68 years battling illnesses that I had no idea I had...depression, bipolar and aspergers. I was aware at 31yo I had anxiety and could address that over time but that others there was a multi ponged approach needed so I could overcome the symptoms and live a happy life albeit without absolute cure. So be open minded and when down the track you are treated (whatever that entails) you will find a sweet spot with such treatment and your life can turn around. This is the fabulous place I am in now. Plus- maturing as in your case will also provide oyu with a different maybe far greater positivity as you grow with your self esteem.
It can be all good news and something to aim for.
We have many articles here that you can access. Simply type in the search bar at the top. If you type in "self harm" there is over 3000 topics. Read through the replies might help.
BTW, your etiquette was perfect. Reply anytime. We'd be interested how you got on.

Hi Silver,
Hope you get to see this message. I am sorry there is nobody that you feel comfortable with talking to about this. I am unsure and not really asking about the whys etc. I just want you to know that you are worthy of help and assistance. I would suggest you contact Kids helpline as well. Or Reachout Australia.
