Recently been caught up in strong feelings in regards to not feeling like there is any future. Suicide has been on my mind as it has been in the past but I have always seemed to pull myself back from those thoughts. I was wondering however when you simply think enough is enough and it scared me to think that one day I might not be able to step back from those thoughts. I think that the fact I acknowledge the struggles I have and that in the past I’ve overcome these negative feelings is positive, however there must be a time when enough is enough. I’m the most anxious I can remember ever being, and flit from anywhere from deep despair to turnings my emotions off altogether.

Hi Vei,
It's really good of you to reach out about what's going on for you in a space where ppl understand.
You are right, overcoming those negative feelings are positive and the fact you can pull yourself back from those thoughts is excellent.
I'm also pulling myself back from thoughts as well. Life can throw us some traumatic things and the brain can come up with all sorts of solutions.
Anxiety, deep despair, and turning off emotions don't always last forever but suicide is forever.
Can U think of things U like about your life and reasons you want to stay alive?
Are there goals you want to achieve?
Re- focusing on something else has helped me through the most difficult times, or simply just bawling my eyes out.
We hear you, you are not alone and if u wanted to chat some more that would be great.
❤️

Help thanks for replying. I have lots to be grateful for. I idolise my kids and it’s the one thing that keeps me breathing. I don’t see a future for me. I feel I serve no purpose in life. I just kind of float.

Hi Vei,
I know how you feel. I don't see a future for me either but if I died, my kids would wear that sadness for the rest of their lives and I can't do that to them. That's what keeps me going at the moment. I was in a similar position 18 years ago when I thought I had no future and I wanted to die but life did get much, much better and I was very happy for 15 years. That period of happiness was due to getting the right psychological help that helped me turn my life around. If you can get the right help at the right time, it can lead to a future. keep looking for that help. Big hugs
