What's your go-to movie to watch on a bad day?

Hi all,

Today was a bad day for me. I just call them "bad days" - it simplifies it for me.

On bad days when I'm feeling particularly teary (like today), I like to watch one of my go-to movies when my depression is at the front of my mind. Mostly, it's to help me cry at something other than myself.

Some of my go-to movies:

- Extrelemy Loud and Incredibly Close

- Crash

Do you have go-to movies for bad days?

Thanks Tony WK,

I will look for it!

I have seen man of la mancha many years ago with my Mum. I am not a big fan of opera though.

I shall add High Society as a recommendation. It's a musical with Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Princess Grace Kelly. It's a romantic comedy and a wonderful feel good movie.

Mine is The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty.

It gives me inspiration to keep going with things against the odds.

Mine is 'In Bruges' - I don't know why but all the scenery and the soundtrack are really relaxing despite the fact it's a movie about two hitmen on the run.

OH and flight of the navigator is a good retro movie

Hey Doxx Wolf,

Great movies!! I still remember a joke from Flight of the Navigator where the alien says he drives a Rolls Canhardly...it rolls down one hill and can hardly get up the next. I loved that movie.

The Breakfast Club is great. What about Some Kind of Wonderful and Pump up the Volume.

Oh and A Knight's Tale.

My go tos are: guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Toy Story 1&2 (not #3 it's scary), Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Little Women, Barefoot in the Park, Iris and the Harry Potter movies 1 & 3. I like the TV show Sea Change and have been known to watch the repeats on YouTube if needed. Also, Monarch of the glen, get Smart and MASH. I'm embarrassed to say that I got hooked on Master Chef this year and it was comforting for some reason.

I would have way too many - depending on why am having the bad day. Am a bit of a Movie/TV show addict. I like watching alot of Hallmark movies (cheesy romantic ones that you can predict what happens from the beginning). But sometimes might be Little Mermaid or the other day I was down I watched Pride & Prejudice (Kiera Knightley one) and Ever After.

Somewhere in Time (1980)

Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour

Best Love/Fantasy ever

I love that movie Paul!

I haven't seen it for years but remember it was beatiful. I will have to search for it. I can't remember it all but I remember the watch and him setting the room up to be from the right time. I remember the ending too, just beautiful.
