We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

3 self care things today
Put my feet up after a busy day
decided not to get upset by what dentist said
decided to just to be silent rather than argue with someone

I self cared today by asking my wife to write a supporter of victim's statement to the persons who raped me.
I self cared today by writing 753 words about one rape, and addressing it to the rapists.
I self cared today by dampening everything consciously, quieter, slower, more eager to say "stop".

I self cared by hanging up on someone who was raising their voice, interrupting me, speaking over me and ramping right on up themselves into resentment and anger. So I hung up on my best male friend and responded as my ideal self over a series of texts instead.
I self cared today by asking that person for a new nickname. I am a new being.
I self cared today by moving some rocks on a mountain and looking at a report about a new mountain and reaching out to a few anti-soldiers.

cut up the chickens, lol not pet ones. I buy whole chickens when they on special and I cut em up before freezing, works out heaps cheaper than buy it already done in trays. Oh and the cat an dogs love the skin and scraps.
I told my other adult daughter I self harm. So they both know now.

I self cared today by exposing myself to metaphorical poison, thus developing resistance to it.
I self cared today by sharing the load with those people who are committed to helping me carry the load.
I self cared today by noticing I desperately desire a few bourbon and cokes, and permitting myself to have those without being excessive.
I self cared today by buying 4 bourbon and cokes, and having one open here now. I like the taste, it's sweet and bubby and comforting.

i took a natural sleep remedy
i rested peacefully with a bit of help from the sleep remedy
i spoke up about something that was bothering me, even though i feared it would make me look bad or whingey

I self care today by giving myself space.
I self care today by being selectively mute.
I self care today by chucking up, cleaning up the mess and refreshing my mouth with a ginger beer.
I self care today by ejecting evilness.
