today i;

acknowledged my anxiety was there

reassured myself. Im not in danger, i know what im doing right now, i know what i have to do today, i have a lot of work, one step at a time...you cant put all of the water through the hose at the same time.

did some breathing mindfulness.

- got my first ever pedicure

- bought some much needed clothes

I get everything you said, I've been there also in seeking help - all to no avail.
Almost 100% of the time, let's say 99% lol, I've given up calling after getting to dead ends after dead ends and got on with it all myself.
I have many thoughts about WHY this is the case but it's better left alone lol.

My self-care today:
* followed my new dental care regime at home and at work

* stood up for myself with the vet - well done Sleepy for standing up for yourself too!

* said yes to a fully catered event tonight which will make my clients happy. Trying to get more Christmas cheer into my life. All my kids are working tonight anyhow so it's a nice, free dinner I don't have to prepare lol.

* taking time out to come onto the forums after a VERY early start, busy day and before my busy night.

1) Think: 'if I were trying to make myself miserable, what would I do?' Almost always, the answers I come up with (not showering, keeping my room a mess, not getting sun, etc) are things I am already doing. Usually promptly gives me the motivation do change at least one thing I am doing.

2) Clean! I live with a messy person and mess can aggravate my depression and anxiety. So, I get cleaning - makes me feel a lot better.

3) Get out and do something, as much as I don't really feel like it. The beach or just out the back for a read is usually my go-to.

Wheels r going excellent!

Shaved feet feel smooth. Much better than the hard stuff lol...yep took the new feet for a test walk and I like.

Needed lots of new bras n undies...and I got them.
