fixed my glasses after putting it off. Went to glasses place

made a healthy omelette for dinner

accepted a hug from a friend

Today's self care:

1) Cacao

2) Watching my favourite show on Netflix

3) Cuddling my pug

Self care

walked in the rain

ate chocolate

helped someone find a book

1. Midday walk with the dog

2. Deep breathing exercise in the sauna

3. Treated myself to a special breakfast

Hi all.

not something i did today, but did over the easter break.

it was a really nice day outside, cool but sunny blue skies. There was absolute silence except for the ambient sounds of birds and leaves on the trees.

i thought it was too good to waste, so i made myself a cup of tea, sat under the veranda, and with mid morning sun on my face, i just closed my eyes and listened. Didnt think, didnt move, just listened and breathed for 5 minutes.

opened my eyes, and took a deep refreshing breath, and sipped my tea. For that short time i was at absolute peace,

Herbal tea

Chopped some wood for the heater.

forced myself to break out of the OCD cycle

Watched some standup comedy for a laugh

Today:

I got up very early, after tossing about uncomfortably for 3.5 hrs, & have had lots of water, & yoghurt.

Then, vegies for breakfast, trying to address my discomfort - 😸"Here, have some healthy stuff!" I said, "What do you think of that?" & I think my digestive system will be happier soon....

& Since I have been up for hours already, I'm going to have another lunchtime catnap!

This is so ridiculous! (I'm just doing what I can.) Wonder if there will be another thunderstorm passing by to wake me before I am rested - again?

One of the self-care things we can all do is to keep trying to do the self-care even while the world & body seem determined to be uncooperative with our intentions. Patience & perseverance.
