We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes

Hi all,
Staying in my pjs is my favourite thing! I got sprung yesterday tho- a surprise delivery by a kind-of neighbour of some kefir ferment. Sprung in my pj's! Lol! Still the kefir is very good...
My fave oil is bergamot also, or orange. It's very uplifting, and not sweet/sickly.
My self care today involved sunshine and chooks in the garden with my daughter- always special.
Buying a big joint of lamb to roast, it will do for a few meals. I can't seem to think about meals atm.
Asking my H to clear up after dinner. And then not starting an argument when he made it seem much more difficult than it is! Sometimes it is a gift to myself, just letting bad behaviour slide....not my problem!
Cheers,
J*

Hi Jane,
Good on you!
I delete Heaps of my comments too- didn’t know anyone else did that! I guess we’re careful of what we say....
Today I went to work, for a short time, and worked out how to click n collect a movie for family movie nite on Saturday.
helped my d with her school assignment, and when that didn’t work, played a game instead!
Home soon, and back into comfy clothes. I might even have a bath!
cheers

Hey Jane! Welcome to the self-care thread, nice ones!
Hey J* missep quirky Sleepy Blues and all! nice self-caring too...
Today I:
~ gardened from very early in attempts to ground myself - lots going on
~ dare I say I became up abruptly aware on pressing 'answer' to a call that I really shouldn't have.. sometimes "self-care" is confronting to me - well it is alot of the time tbh... anyway enacting boundaries needs some work there
~ prepped some yummies for an omelette I want to eat very soon.
~ I'm going to have a NAP.

I self cared today by reading in the sunshine for a while.
I self cared today by turning the heater on yet again - is winter finished yet?
I self cared today by noticing some truly incongruent thinking in others and just letting it go.

Hey Batman, we are all very much BETTER since you're back I'm sure!
I love that last statement you made (well I loved reading it all tbh lol) but it had ringings of "I am not your Guru" on Netflix hahaha.
You're a Super Hero so you know what I mean.
Wow it's beautiful that you encouraged someone to call a helpline. I'm sorry to hear he's struggling, I'm glad he told you! Men and their secrets about this stuff - we have lots of learning to do in HOW to support boys and men to reach out. Notwithstanding GIRLS and women too!! And all other people who need support.
I really Pray that all people struggling can get the really nice Phone Counsellors to get them through, then they get whatever other IRL supports they need for them to know their WORTH!
Lovely to see you again, we missed you tons,
Love EMxxxx
