Awww great self-care everyone! Love reading about it all.
I was sent home from work today, not because I was naughty but bec new restrictions came into play. Others offered to stay, I "offered" to go home - not quite the whole truth lol - and join my bunch of rascally rabbits "learning from home"... learning how to SLEEP IN big time more like it hahaha.
Perhaps the kids are onto something?...
My self-care for today:
~ agreeing to go home after my boss gave me "the eye" to do so, she knows I give more than required far too much, I'm working on boundaries!
~ faced a set of tasks for work I have NOT wanted to do, and did more than I thought I would lol. I've gotta tackle these yuckies when I need to...
~ ate healthy food
~ spent time with each of my children at home by asking them how they're keeping socially connected with their friends during lockdown, nice to hear they are, some more than others.
~ clocked off only an hour after COB today, good for me and a great working from home boundary to set. It's likely to take over my entire life otherwise - a career long issue I've had.
~ phoned 2 friends for a catch up. That was interesting but mostly nice lol. Interesting bec they seem 1000 x more stressed than me and all their kids have left home... interesting.
So NOW I am not required to go into work 3 days this week.
I'm home unless they phone me to come in, in a crisis or such.
I have mountains of stuff to do - we're not getting off easily lol.

Today I:
~ enjoyed using my leaf blower for a whole hour - I'm in love lol!
~ phoned my friend tonight
~ tried to draw a boundary over my work hours whilst working from home, it's difficult! So many demands but I need to do it for my MH and wellbeing.
Onwards and UPwards everyone!

Exercised to a class from an app - I prefer to be told what to do, and to push myself. Also, I get bored with repetitive stuff so choosing different classes keeps me interested and helps me to stick to exercising in general.
Checked my fridge for odd fruit and veggies and made a nice salad.
Tried new chocolate: white with raspberries, yum.

My self-care today:
1) Ate sweet and salty popcorn while I watched reality tv
2) Cleaned my room!
3) Will watch anime with my partner and spend some quality time!

Thankyou for your posts everyone, WOW, I'm getting some nice ideas! Hmmm food for positive CARING thought lol.
My self-care included:
~ TWO poached eggs for breakfast fresh from my feathered girls, YUM!
~ Pizza for dinner for the kids, Thai food for me, YUM!
oh dear it can't ALL be about food can it? Probably lol.
~ Ummmm I actually CLOCKED OFF work at a reasonable hour today. Don't ask me when I started work and no dobbing Sleepy! lol.
I plan to have a GOOD sleep tonight.
I have a big 4 day's work coming up, so I'd like a nice sleep.
Off to the gardening thread lol. ANOTHER fave thread of mine.
Everyone's doing FAN FAIRY TASTIC!
