My 3 self-care things today:

* making firm decisions to follow through with my own self-care with the evidence that this is also amazing for my kids!

* had a long nap after work, HUGE day.

* bought take away for dinner.

amberlite funny you should mention forgiveness- such good self care! I’ve been meditating on holding onto anger- or more accurately letting go of! Someone described it as a ‘punishment you give yourself when someone else does the wrong thing’!
Such a good reflection!

hope everyone is doing well today. I haven’t decided any self care today yet, but I’m tired from a bad nites sleep, so a walk is a must, if it’s not raining later. Hopefully it will help me sleep tonite.
I've been working in my garden so I might plant some seedlings.

Today my self-care:

1) Condensed milk coffee - delicious!

2) Having the day off today to work on my assessments, it really helps to work on them so I don't feel overwhelmed

3) Going to see a friend tonight that I haven't seen in quite a while!

Hey everyone, some lovely self-care happening, awesome!

Hey J* thanks for enlightening me to the fact Brene Brown has podcasts omg... they're amazing!
Do you remember the one when she said to THANK a reaction of ours for what it's trying to do?

I thanked fear, for trying to protect me, but I was going to do it anyway.

She also talked about psychological boundaries too in same podcast.

You could thank anger too.... why not!

I found by thanking fear and having that little discussion, it faded.
The next time I went to do the same thing, I didn't have any fear, in fact I even forgot about it lol.

Perhaps these emotions just want acknowledgement by us.
Perhaps by a trusted wider audience too idk.

Miraculous guidance there.

My self-care today:
* I stayed calm when one wheel fell off the wagon today. I was worried about Yvette by the sudden change but when I got home, she'd left a note she went to work lol. No need to worry after all. Yay!

* I said "I'll think about it for a while and let you know" instead of just agreeing for all the known reasons. Or even saying a blunt no too. I need tome to see how things go, then I'll let them know.

* said No to a demand.

* said yes to a nice gathering tonight.

Hi all,

Seeing some really great stuff, good work guys. Have had an okay run at least one day in the last seven. Still counts, right?

- Forest walk. Tried out a new spot, to capture my interest a bit more. Even took off my shoes for a bit to experience it more thoroughly. Turns out a lot of the rocks were pretty pointy...

- Looked into some strategies for managing ADHD. Not diagnosed, but it's looking very likely and the strategies really resonated with me. Stuff like holding onto an object involved in what I'm doing if something demands my attention immediately, so I can figure out what I was doing and get back to it, after. Remembering to do it is another challenge, but managed it once today.

- Played some World of Warcraft. It's been a while since I played anything.

- Renewed my Spotify subscription. Was in such bad need of new music.

Hi all,

hey blue, if by run you mean, like running, then once in the last week def counts! And lol- pointy rocks! Yep!
I had a run on the beach this week. Running back to my car to beat the storm! Still, it felt pretty awesome.
I like that adhd trick- sounds like it could work for my memory lapses too lol!

sleepy I’m glad your friend offered help- AND you accepted! Yay!

Em I haven’t listened to that podcast- sounds like a good one. It’s amazing the stuff you find on Spotify hey!

today I:

shut up and listened during counselling while my H processed his stuff. Very worthwhile.
enjoyed a simple lunch in a place of my choosing- I spoke up and asked for what I wanted, yay me!

took time to dress nice and fix makeup before my job interview. Helped me to be ‘poised and professional’ 😉

hope I get it!

We have a congratulatory dinner when anyone in the family GOES for a job, or a school role of any type! LOL!
Or cake. Cake's always good. Their choice.
Celebrating the COURAGE to go for it, is worth celebrating!
It doesn't matter so much whether they do or don't get the role, the Celebration gives them the resilience to do it all over again if needed!

My self-care was left field today and why not lol!!

* I said to BF today that I wanted to get my toenails painted with gel polish. He said "OH baby ofcourse go visit the Beauty Shop!" lol okey dokey.. beauty shop, he's so cute and SO American lol!
SO I DID. Got my toenails and FINGERNAILS done too.
Real fancy. Got rose gold glitter 🤣😂, now where are my washing up gloves... hmmm.

* bought a Chai Latte on my way to work. Enjoyed a "day off" needing to drive the kids to school today, thought I'd fill the time with a Cafe visit and take away Chai.

* ate healthy food ALL day long, so ate some Easter eggs tonight lol. Just small ones. All good.

Am about to scrub the balcony which is my kind of self-care too!
I bought a nice small white bin for the balcony instead of the old metal bucket as a bin lol.
I can hide it and it's nicer out here now.

I'm SO PROUD of everyone's self-care!

WE ROCK! To Blue's new music lol.

Hi all,

Hey em, new nails ! Well done! Sounds like a good reason to get someone else to do the washing up lol!

For my self care I took the old polish off my toe nails yesterday, and cut them.

Today I'm busy baking for a catch up lunch with a mum friend and kids. Its a nice day so we'll take them swimming YAY, before autumn really cracks on. Her kids are sooo nice- her eldest boy loves chatting to me, and compliments my cooking-in front of his mum tho- hmmm..........No it's all good, we laugh about it.

Feeling really good today after a positive job injterview yesterday.

Also my house has been swept.

High achiever me! LOL!

I hope everyone's having a BEAUTiful day!
