We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

Hi Nobodee,
It's my favourite thing to do, look at nature.
You painted a beautiful picture that made me smile in your last post.
Nice.

Yesterday i:
Left an event while triggered - got home safely and took a break
made a home-made chai
cancelled a gp appointment with a random gp which prbably would've just confused me - will wait longer to see my regular Gp who i know and trust.

Sleepy21 & monkey_magic thankyou for your posts.
Seems like a few of escaping the company of others this week! And a fine thing too.. 🖤 that's a charcoal coloured heart Sleepy21 lol
💛 this one's for you monkey.
My self-care today:
* eating lunch
* spending time in my garden with my darling chicken
* doing grounding exercises after my Uncle left.
Love EM

Looks like I'm not the only one stepping back from company, the ol' social burnout has crept in. Today, I:
- Bowed out of a social engagement I didn't have energy for in favour of a day to myself.
- Am spending snuggle time with my birds.
- Have made a passive start on the jobs I want to do (started up the washing cycle while I have some coffee). Whilst doing jobs doesn't sound much like self care, achieving something useful in my day is a huge part of keeping my mental health in check - with my partner out, I can get some work done, and be chilled and ready for company again by the time he comes home.

Peeps I'm REALLY Proud of us also saying "no" when we need to... for how long did we say yes in efforts to please others and it was a bad idea?
Lol, STACKS of times for me....
More power to us beautiful people.
Blue's WHATEVER YOU consider self-care makes the list! Just post it and I'm proud of you! 😍
Sleepy21, I need to explain the charcoal heart lol... it's the new colour scheme in your home, so hence the charcoal, otherwise seeing your posts is a pink heart 💗 and then one with a sparkle because you're a sparkle to me 💖 and then a beating heart too💓. Hope you're feeling better.
My self-care for today (lol):
* stayed in my pyjamas ALL DAY LONG and it's fan-fairy-tastic lol
* made pancakes for breakfast and ate some
* had a LONG nap after breakfast
* talked with my American fiancee over the phone and we avoided talking about the elections! Now that's relationship care right there lol.
* tonight I'm having a long hot bath and using some girly scrubby things on my body. Yay.
LOVE EM
