If you have any good news in your life or seen any good news in the media please let us know in a brief post 😊

Note: I understand and respect this thread topic is not for everyone as any level of anxious/depressive feelings are awful to experience

Just for myself I have a couple of positives

• Peta Credlin on Sky News gave Beyond Blue a huge mention earlier this week
• My mum is still independent and doing well at 90 years of age and her lung function test is 'Normal' and still a smoker! Love you mum x

Hey Paul, sure! As long as you help PICK them lol.
We have more than 400 as a rough estimate. My grandson counted 87 on just ONE branch and there's at least 9 branches.
We'll get a basket full then, and that night or even before that, the fruit bats will swoop in and eat the lot!

That's ok.
We have Coles, they don't.

GOOD NEWS...

* son's trial at his PT job, scored him a job AND training and a shift managers job after the training. He got more than he bargained for but as I taught him... say yes yes yes if you really want the job. So he said Yes lol. He knew what he was doing bec he worked in the same take away here. He's such a sweet kid, no wonder they grabbed him lol.

* Youngest daughter is now going to school just about every day now, with NO prodding. Miracles there.

* Youngest d also went to a party on the weekend. She actually enjoyed herself too lol. Her depression must be lifting alot.

* My Uncle is coming to do more renovations for us this week. It's pretty exciting to be getting a new room.

Good news I want to share - I was happy on my birthday this year. It has previously been a time of sadness (with the months lead up of sadness and past reflections) for another year older, lack of progress in life (or perceived, self analysed lack of progress), the mental anguish back and forth, for the longest time I considered responding to peoples birthday wishes a 'chore'.

This year I didn't have the dark cloud hanging around and could actually receive peoples well wishes. It was so refreshing. Quite momentous.

As it happens my birthday was not too far away from the beginning of this thread - so this feels like another gift. Thank you blondguy or is it Paul? for providing a place for me to share this and the presumption that it is read 🙂 Warm heart x

My good news:

* my darling chicken got WELL! She's still sleeping in my bed each night lol.

* A friend I haven't seen for about 15y is coming to stay when the Qld borders open and I CAN'T WAIT to see her. LOVE!

* my eldest daughter is on her first date since her break up 2y ago. He's a super nice person, so that's sweet.

My GOOD NEWS:

* eldest daughter's date was lovely!

* youngest daughter opened up and shared more, thank goodness, so we're off to a new GP with the aim of more cohesive MH support for her.

* I heard prodigal son AND his gf are coming home to stay this weekend! So happy. I'll get a cake for her belated birthday party with us.

* our poodle DIDN'T eat our darling convalescing chicken lol, even though someone left the door to "her room" open today eeek!

* rescue poodle is having "exposure therapy" tomorrow lol. I'm taking him out to a cafe to meet 2 lovely ladies I met last week and their dogs too. He may have to sit on my lap lol but I'm NOT taking the baby carrier for him.

Was able to treat myself to a mini vacay.
Booked myself into a hotel with a massive pool. Swam laps this morning and lounged around.
Had beef nachos for lunch with a Malibu pineapple, went back to the hotel room and treated myself to nibblies and 3 episodes of home and away.
Spa bath is sitting there waiting to be used.

We almost have a "secret women's business" set of convos going on in Bluberry's and my threads but it's LOVELY when Uncle Croix and Blondguy Paul drop in and shower their wisdom in there too.

Better leave some GOOD NEWS too! lol...

* got an appt for youngest D next week in a pretty prestigious all female GP clinic and I'M RAPT.

* she's dyeing her hair PINK as we speak, whaddayasay to that lol.

* eldest D seems to have met a very wonderful person but we're all trying to keep our heads screwed on straight over him.

* it's RAINING again so happy days for my water tanks :-))

I hope everyone can find something in their day to make it to the GOOD NEWS thread.

My good news....umm...went to Mitre10 today and loitered around the store for a while...My 90 year old mum is still independent and loves her coffee/cigarette....and a fresh apple turnover from Woolworths every couple of days
