Hi All,
In the past there may have been threads on sleep and how to improve our quality of sleep.
I am starting this thread up and hope to include past thread titles.
For some of us sleep is a real issue, the more we can learn about it the better informed we will be.
Funny stories on weird places you have fallen asleep are welcome as well.
For me, I had just moved house and was very busy getting everything organised. Friends invited me to the drag races. I was so tired and exhausted that I sat down, leant against the fence right near the starting line and fell asleep for most of the evening.
Hope to read some of your stories and tips.
Cheerio for now, from Mrs. Dools

Thanks for the concern!
It seems that if i exercise at night (1 1/2 hours of cycling) i can go back to my lower sleep huor count and still feel well! I'm going to try binaural beats

My goodness if I tried to cycle for 1 1/2 hours I think I would be comatose!
Can you please explain what "binaural beats" means. I have heard of it but have no idea what it is.
What ever it is I hope it helps you.
My husband and I are about to go away for Christmas. Here in our home we have separate bedrooms...long story. One good thing is that I can now sleep better as I don't always hear my husband snoring.
While on holiday I will need to put in the ear plugs! My husband can't sleep unless he is watching t.v. so no sleep for me until he is asleep, then the snoring starts! I take ear plugs and an eye mask!
Holidays are lovely but they mean even less sleep than usual for me.
Hope you do manage to get your sleep pattern organised. Cheers for now from Mrs. Dools

I my ex randomly (accidentally) joined my video game match. We realised who eachother was fairly soon and i'm still not over it
it hurts so much, i'm afraid i'm never going to get over it.

haha, atleast you can stay asleep!
ever since my dreams came back about a month ago each one i had thought that i was still with my ex. Until recently i realised. Every morning after sleeping i would wake up and cry. I would go lucid and be like "hey, this isn't real is it" and get awokened instantly.
Keep sleeping.

Hi ewrc,
This must be very draining and tough for you.
Are there some ways you can make your waking up more pleasant? Do you have time in the morning for a bit of self thought and pampering?
Would listening to some music in the morning help? I enjoy having the window open so I awaken to the sound of the birds chirping. I try to concentrate on them instead of the traffic.
It can be very difficult to let people go.
Hope you find ways to change your reactions and you sleep more soundly.
Cheers for now from Dools

Hi Ewrc, I thought I'd reply since I had some severe problems with sleep. Anxiety can make things difficult. Sleep hygiene is important as is getting enough physical activity during the day.
Have you thought about getting a referral to a sleep specialist for a sleep study? I had one last year and I found it quite useful and informative. There are specialist sleep psychologists which I didn't know about before I went. You can get it (the sleep study) done through the public health system as well. Might be worth considering anyway.

Hi YoYo_Steve,
This is good advice. It is something I had not considered before, good to know. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Rufio
Spot on...my more physical exertion during the day...the higher quality of sleep we have 🙂
Sometimes trying hard to stay wake helps us fall asleep too......if that made any sense
