Hi everyone. How do you stop being a people pleaser ?? I suffer from depression and anxiety and have done on and off for years. I’m constantly trying to please everyone in my life to feel needed. I’m struggling with lack of sleep big time and I’m currently feeling totally worthless and exhausted. I feel totally alone. I have kids and a partner, my partner is constantly busy and exhausted when he gets home. Everyone says to me take time out for you but how the hell do you do that when your the one who holds everything together?? Lately I’m struggling more and more getting more and more moody and feeling more and more upset and useless. I feel like I’m self destructing and no one sees it. I want to be totally alone but not be at the same time. I’ll send my partner a strange text just to get the attention I crave.
How do do people cope with all these feelings ?
Feeling lonely. 😔

I am sure many can relate to your post and I can feel your frustration through your words.
It seems overwhelming to stop and take time for yourself when you feel everything would fall apart if you did. We do need to look after ourselves before we can help others
Is there one thing you could do or one task you could not do, that may ease your burden.?
Have you spoken to your doctor or a counsellor about how you feel.?
Does you partner know how you feel?
Being a parent with all the responsibilities one feels pulled in all directions and exhausted.
Do you like walking or can you find one thing you really like doing that you have not done for a while, it can be something simple and does not have to take up much time. Sometimes just taking a few minutes for ourselves can help us to feel better about ourselves.
These are just suggestions . Thanks again for sharing your story.
