Energy levels and sleep

Does anyone have any experiences with feeling so low on energy that it almost feels like you’re temporarily paralysed to get up? Sometimes I feel scared of not waking up on time and I’ve seen a doctor about it but to no avail have I had any changes

Hello Thelongestroad,

Thank you for reaching out and connecting with our community. 💙

It sounds like things are really tough right now. Feeling low on energy can be present for so many reasons. Maybe we are low on essential vitamins and minerals, lacking quality sleep, experiencing dehydration, overwhelmed by how stressful our days are, disconnected from our sense of joy, or simply feeling unsupported and needing more help. It must be really overwhelming to feel like you're trying to get answers but none are coming your way just yet... but they will.

It might be helpful to consider when you last felt like you had more energy. Were you doing anything differently? Has anything in your life changed since then? And are there any moments you notice you do have energy, even if they are small?

It's important to keep asking your GP questions - you are allowed to know as much as you need about your body and mind. Perhaps speaking with a psychologist could also help here?

Please let us know how you go - looking forward to all of your reflections.

Warm regards,
Sophie M.

Thanks for the reply I had a blood test done everything checked out normal.. the doctors have not been helpful in this regard they have not really done a lot of things to try and determine what is happening. I’ve seen a specialist and all he wanted to do was prescribe medications without really finding a diagnosis or things that lead to a diagnosis. It makes me so angry that there are people in the medical industry that operate like this!
