You ever wake up and have to repeat the same day over again? Same activities, same hobbies, same life habits etc. there’s nothing much you can do to change it? Or is it just me. Everyday is a repeat of the previous.

Hi, welcome
In my years here I've found what I believe to be, a connection between boredom and sound mental health. It's significant if you have a "passion" or not.
A passion is in my view close to or is- an obsession. Nearly every waking moment is spent thinking about it whereas a hobby you pick up more casually.
The problem with a passion is, it's usually inbuilt into your personality from childhood and in adulthood you might leave it but often return to it.
Some passions are wide ranging, like, I'm a jack of all trades- inventer, builder, welder, designer etc so I never get bored. I've built motor vehicles, 2 houses, designed 5 houses, build a miniature train, cubbies etc. I'm about to build a swing seat under our verandah.
My female friend loves ship cruises. Another, golf and he practices every evening. But recently he fell ill and was totally lost.
So, what canyon do? A lot of soul searching is needed. You might have the lack of a partner, live isolated so clubs and sports is hard to join. At any rate I hope it gives food for thought.

I know exactly what you mean. Like your life is just a DVD that plays on repeat. And your just trying to get through the day over and over again. I absolutely understand. It is stressful it feels like a weight. It isn't fun. So I do know what you mean. But keep going. We will make it through

Hello to guest 7539!
As a guy who constantly falls down the rabbit hole of overthinking, I understand completely. Every day doesn't feel exactly like groundhog day, but it's not like anything's changed either. Just the same routine, a few surprises here and there, but overall, boredom is prominent in almost everything, and you just get tired of it all.
In response to this, (and not to fix your problems, just to offer an alternate view), but maybe you're looking at every day as if each day has a beginning and an end...? Of course this is the logical way of thinking, but instead of assuming that when the sun goes down that everything just resets, maybe start looking at life more fluently, or rebel a bit to shake things up. Do things you wouldn't normally do (as long as they don't hurt you) and live in the moment instead of the day. I know that sounds really whimsical, but just don't except your schedule as face-value. Alter something if you can. Dye your hair, tell the person you like how you feel, adopt a new hobby, watch a horror movie with friends, hell, dance in the rain. These moments can help ground you and open your eyes to the joys of just being a human that you never really noticed before.

Thank you. And I do think your right. I do dye my hair and watch a lot of horror. And I sit out in the rain but I think your response will really help me in the long term. Thank you
