New to this forum but really struggling with this but i do not have anyone close to talk to about this
So I met a girl a few months ago. we have the same interests, we get along extremely well and i've developed strong feelings for this person, except they are not of the same sexual orientation which i've had no choice but to accept (which is okay). very recently we caught up and all of a sudden she got real angry with me and doesn't seem to have much interest in me as a friend anymore. when quizzed about weather this is true she says every things fine and what happened wasn't a big deal but I've just got this gut feeling its not. what should i do from here? I really don't want this friendship to end because i care about her so much but i'm worried its not going to be the same anymore

Dear RCW2012~
Welcome to the Forum and thank you for posting.
Frankly this relationship does sound as if it is having problems. I'm not sure what you mean by "not of the same sexual orientation" other than it does not sound that hopeful. In addition there is failure to communicate on a satisfactory level over her anger. Apart from anything else you still do not know what caused it.
In any long term relationship one would hope there is mutual care and a desire for each to look after the other. The way you paint this friendship the girl sounds distant.
You did say you had "developed strong feelings for this person". Do you think there is a possibility you are looking for more than this person wants, maybe a full relationship where she only envisages casual friendship?

Hi RCW2012,
Firstly welcome..😊
This is a great place to ask for advice and help and to also get some great knowledge..
This is a tough situation,i honestly think you need to look at your part in this and maybe you couldve come on alittle to full on maybe and it couldve scared her off alittle..
I think maybe give it a step back and really work on the friendship even more seeing as you both sound like you have alot of the same interests which is great..
She also might only be looking for nothing more than a good friendship..
Sometimes our emotions and our thoughts run wild and we cant help or control how we feel.. And thats ok.. But as long as we alwats take the time out to look at it from the other persons perspective and except that then things will always make alot more sense to us.
In conclusion i think you should maybe meet up with this person and be open and honest and let them explain what there expectations are and move forward from there so you can continue to have that good friendship..
Goodluck
I hope you get a good happy outcome with all this..
Robbie
