Master Gruffudd,
I really relate to what you've posted. I'm over the 40 barrier and I think I went through a similar adjustment. It's like 40 is a magic age where you've got to swim through or get swept through.
Aged care? That's another 40 years away!
Yeah we're not young anymore - we're, gasp!, middle aged! Old enough to have kids in their 20's!
The GOOD thing is that over this side of 40, it's less scary. We're not young anymore, but we're not old. We dont HAVE to put up with things we don't want to with people, friends, family etc. We're old enough to tell them without having to explain.
Really, it's not so bad!
P

dear Gruffudd, puppy age at 40, well I'm 61 and boy don't I feel it, compared to my twin who still plays golf and tennis, and I dearly hope that he reaches 100, because getting a letter from the Queen would be something he would cherish.
As my life has been full of misfortunes this does make you feel older, but as we always say 'there is light at the end'. Geoff.
