Hi Erica,
Going through a breakup has been compared to overcoming an addiction. Having been through both I can tell you how truly this resonates with me. You'll be overcome with grief, loss, the pain of separation and so on but eventually those thoughts will abate, day by day becoming less. There is no immediate cure to your pain. You will take time to heal but like with most things, you will heal eventually. In the meantime try to keep busy. If you feel the breakup is causing you such serious mental pain then consider speaking to a GP.
All the best,
Pat.

Erica17 I have been through a few breakups, where we have shared heaps of personal stuff no one else knew about. Good times doing stuff together all the couples stuff. They have broken it off with me, fallen out of love with me fallen in love with another. All of the times hurtful the constraint has been I have forgiven them. Moved on with my life, still with feeling for the partner gone. It's like a bad habit you need to break, an addition. It will hurt your feelings for a while but there is someone else out there for you. someone who will stick by you through thick and thin. That did happen to me. The sad part of this tale is the love of my life got cancer. Now no longer here, but I have her memory, and two children to worry about plus a few great friends she left me. People who are as solid as a rock. Even when they need help they are there for me, as I am for them. We all mourn together. At least If you need help you have BB forums to turn to for help as I do.
