I have recently be diagnosed with ptsd after being almost killed by a client over a period of 6 months.
I still can't understand why it was made out to be my fault it was happening. I had no company or departmental help what so ever.
When i went and saw my GP who put me on work cover i was fired from my job.
So have been living off pretty much nothing for weeks work cover haven't accepted my claim work wont give me a separation certificate so no centrelink.
I can't put up with much more of this shit

I am sad to hear what has happened but more so that no one has come to help you, and then to be sacked once the company knew that a Workcover claim was in process.
I would be seeking legal help, so go and see a lawyer who handles these type of claims on a no-win no-fee basis.
Your previous employer must give you a separation certificate but you may have to ask for it, as soon as possible, otherwise they will incur a penalty, this is why you need a lawyer.
The lawyer will cope with what you need, let them do the work that you're not sure of what to do, plus they will discuss your case with Workcover.
See if you can make an appointment for next week,
You will need to also book an appointment with your GP, separate to the doctors your employer/Workcover send you to'
Please let us know how you get on.
Geoff.

Hi Derac, that's terrific, so there must be a lot to talk about.
Why don't you write down everything that's happened, so that they have all the facts, there maybe bullying included as well, that's for you and your lawyer to determine.
If you pass over what you have written down, it will give them time to go over it all.
Like all of us, ideas may come to mind as they have time to think about it all.
Hope you can let us know.
Geoff.
