Dear SomeoneWhoCares329~
Welcome here to the Forum. Flashbacks are horrible things and come it seems to me whenever they want. I'm very good nowadays and although they used to be bad now they are very much less frequent and not nearly as intense. Like you I had a while when I was just about free, but they came back (actually a new set) but died down a lot more quickly.
I would imagine you might have nightmares too.
I have the feeling that a combination of increased stress in life and triggers make them happen. Could you say what is happening in your life at the moment that might account for this reappearance? Is there extra stress at the moment?
While it is great if people support you when your symptoms are hard to deal with, it is really disappointing when they stop, or even worse make things worse. If you are distressed enough to cry then nobody should be criticizing or being anything other than understanding and supportive. Was there any reason for this change do you think?
Flashbacks are typical for people suffering PTSD, which itself normally goes with anxiety and depression (this describes me anyway). May I ask if you are under treatment? If you are I'd suggest seeing your doctor and explain the flashbacks have recurred.
Of course if you are struggling along without help now would be a very good time to start, seeing your doctor and saying all about it. I never got any better until I was treated.
While you have told about those people that are basically making you worse is there anyone who is better, who you can talk with and wants to support you?
I'd like you to know you can come here and talk as much as you'd like, everyone here can relate and does care
