Hello, Sixteen and a half years ago; I had the most traumatic second vaginal delivery due to health care professional negligence and neglect. I have joined the Australasian Birth Trauma Group but one thing I noticed as of recently, is that the organisation has stopped its allowance of posting by members and desiring commenters. Looking for some support from Online Forums. I suffer depression and anxiety and post traumatic stress.

Hi Colette,

Welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear about your trauma. But you are not alone. We are here for you.

I am understanding correctly - the trauma group you were previously in has stopped communications, and now you are looking to join the BB forums as a means of support instead?

I am here to talk if you need. We all are,

jaz xx

Dear Colette,

This must have taken such strength of will to share - we are sincerely grateful you have joined our community, and reached out to the peer group!

The process of enduring this sort of PTSD, and seeking to normalise and heal, is such a mammoth effort; well done for joining the ABTG - I do hope they can offer you resources that need to get started. Of course, as you yourself have requested, many of your peers here in the forums will seek to reach out to support and promote you and your needs very soon.

We also want to reach out and let you know that you are welcome to seek online support with us here at beyond blue as well, you can call 1300 22 4636 - but if the online format is better or more comfortable, you can click here to begin a webchat!

Please also consider reaching out to Griefline on 1300 845 745 - this is legitimately a grief experience, Colette, and you are allowed to have support in that. Another service that can be really supportive is PANDA - tiy cab reach out from 9am to 7.30pm AEST - 1300 726 306

I have no doubt that you are already aware of their supports, but if not, please consider contacting the Cerebral Palsy Alliance - 1300 888 378 or https://cerebralpalsy.org.au/
There is also Carers Australia - 1800 422 737

Again, thank you for your courage in caring for your son, and for reaching out to us here on the forums - Please stay in touch, and we hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Sophie M.
