having a difficult time with isolation
trying to get support but I'm not allowed to talk about what I've been going through
how do you get support when you can't talk about the problem?

Dear x_,
It is hard to ask for help if you can’t talk about what you need help for.
Possibly you could scroll through others posts and see if any of your questions or similar experiences have already been posted and answered.
You could research online if there is anonymous groups you could join online or on Zoom.
Or perhaps you don’t have to outright say what it is on the forums, but just ask generically how to deal with what you are going through.
Hopefully there is someone outside this forum that you can tell everything too.

hi abc
the thing is, I know how to talk about it, I'm just not allowed to because it gets censored
specifically, it involves abuse and corruption within the mental health system
talking about that will "discourage" others from seeking support, apparently
and anyway you can't ask for help for a problem that doesn't exist

Hi x_
As you know x_, I tried to reach out to our medical overlords but was shown the door, literally! When you get censored it leaves you feeling unheard and rejected as I had post rejected and reacted like I always do, I am a bad person. I understand why they do it, BBF moderators receive thousands of posts and they have to decide whether your words could trigger someone. Personally, I find people with mental health issues have rather a dark sense of humour.
Anyway, just wanted u to know you're not alone and I know u have all these things bottled up in you that u can't post here. Have u tried a rage book. I write terrible things down then I tear it out and destroy it. Mental health sucs!!!

hi rosie
thank you for your support
I don't take the censorship personally, and actually it helps make me stronger because it confirms that what I have to say is important enough to censor
I mean, I appreciate that mental health services have to be sanitised because if they knew how bad things really were then no one would even try to get the help they need, I do get it
fortunately there are other places to discuss the issue that are not so readily censored

Dear x_,
I understand what you mean now.
I too have been censored many times and understand the frustration. The reasons given for the censorship didn’t even make sense.
This is meant to be a place to communicate and connect with others. Honestly.
If it is triggering to others, then they just should stop reading. It adds to the stigma that mental health should be kept quiet.
One reply from someone could be an actual life saver for someone else.
I wish you well in which ever place you are today.

Hi x_
I have been censored twice. As I often feel very unwell and would like to take a trip to Switzerland, if u know what I mean, I have to be careful not to use the "S" word as it could trigger someone. But it's hard to express oneself if you can't use the right words. Next time I'm feeling "S", I'll pop over to the "S and self harm" page as they keep these posts separate. I'm still new to the BB forum but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I like the company but sometimes when I'm unwell I sound a little nutty.

it's really interesting because the guidelines say that discussion of moderator action is not allowed, and yet these messages remain
yet my other messages that talk about matters that don't actually breach any guideline but would embarrass certain entities if made public are the ones that get removed

I'm sorry you're facing this. It must be very hard to feel isolated and unable to share your struggles.
You can seek support by focusing on your feelings rather than specific details. You can say things like, "I'm feeling very stressed and anxious" without going into specifics.
Connecting with a therapist or a support group where you feel safe can also be beneficial. Sometimes just having someone listen can make a big difference. Remember, it's okay to ask for help in any way you can.
