Yeah he has been taking steps for a while and this morning walked from the tv cabinet over to me so about 8 or 9 small steps if you’d call them that... and he has been pretty much on his feet all day

I don’t know who I am actually writing to but I enjoy just sharing!
My role has been extended again, this time for an indefinite period, not a bad thing, some certainty would be nice but also cannot complaint that my secondment has been extended now twice... My team may be back working on the ground in the coming weeks, office/admin tasks from home but I have been busy working with different people to make sure we are good to go.
H is going back to work next month which is super exciting they have already reopened when it didn’t seem like they ever would at one stage, so she is itching to get back, I think preparing to get back to work is a bit of a distraction around the fact that we might not be able to have will’s first birthday party if restrictions continue as they are, that’s disappointing but it is what it is.
Speaking of the little man, 11 months and walking pretty much full time which is both frightening and fun. Saw a father with a set of triplets in the supermarket tonight, I said thank goodness we only have one, he’s a handful enough!

Felt like longer than a year because of iso but also gone super fast at the same time, how does that work?? It’s been a very very big 12 months!
Seeing our little babe go from a tiny (and quite sick) little bundle to now a walking, running, CLIMBING! and almost talking little guy just blows my mind

Laughing with H tonight I asked her what did we do? what did we actually spend our time on before? because I really can’t remember what took up so much time and was so important that we were always rushing and I can’t remember
she told me we slept in and went out for dinner oh yeah that’d be right
oh yeah

Hello Jackson, congratulations 1 year old and next year there will be so much more 'the little guy' develops and each one will be exciting and along the way, there will be a few 'no's', but smiling under your breath.
Keep a diary and take lots of photos because the next 20 years will go just as quick as last year with many new adventures for him to explore.
Best wishes.
Geoff.
