Yep, we are all so so thankful we can see each other again. He’s almost walking, he is standing, letting go of furniture and taking a step. If I don’t shut the door to the study properly he’ll come in and visit me and he’ll sometimes come on to our team meetings and have a quick wave but he is right into squealing right now so even if he can’t get in the room he makes it very clear wants to see me. It’s a bit easier now that H can take him out to go see family and stuff during the day.

He’s met Han quickly just once I think but I’m really cautious about it, he hasn’t met Will yet I’m being very wary about that too, for obvious reasons. It’s a tough one. I’m thinking maybe when cafes reopen and we can go sit somewhere busy, or a park if there’s a few people around. H and I are going to have to have a bit of a talk about it. I don’t want to fall for his guilt stuff, but W is 10 months old... he just wants to meet his grandchild. I think that’s fair.
I haven’t told Mum that I’m even considering it...

A yeah it was ok, nothing bad, he’s not working which he hasn’t been for quite a while, but he’s been volunteering that’s been put on hold, so I’m happy for him in that regard, he’s found something to do. He’s a very smart and well educated man, I’m not shaming him for not working but I just think he has so much to offer and worked so hard and it’s disappointing that through his own choices he’s kind of thrown that away... when I was kid he had a very good job.
He was asking me about stuff I knew nothing about it.
Like every interaction with him, every emotion comes up... it’s like, are you well? or not?
One minute he seems really on track, then he’ll pull out something so out of context and so unnecessary.

Hey Jackson,
Sorry to hear you're feeling so emotional. Wanna talk about it?
