Hey, yep it feels like I am kicking goals at the moment... I absolutely can tell you...
It’s sitting in another team to mine in a team leader role for 3 months, in an area that has more of a whole community focus rather than my current role in youth services, but an area I feel well equipped with knowledge in, there’s potential to extend/apply for the ongoing position, but that’s yet to be confirmed and will come later.
I’m pretty happy, when I go back to my usual position I’m looking forward to using what I’ve learnt while being in that higher role for a short time.
Very exciting!
We had a nice little family adventure in one of the state parks today, a nice little hike (which was supposed to be a tame walk but someone read the sign incorrectly and it wasn’t me) with W in the carrier. All exhausted. As I have said before, W thinks everything is hilarious so the constant squealing was fun, at least we know he’s happy.

Good to hear W enjoyed the hike. He has 2 wonderful parents, of course he's happy!

Thanks CMF I’m looking forward to starting.
W is definitely happier now that’s he’s moving around, some kids are like that, he also sleeps a lot better. He moves quick though, you blink and he’s gone and he’s not even crawling on all fours yet, crawling will be the real test for us. Crazy kid.

Difficult time of the year, March is always tough, holding loved ones extra tight tonight while I think about my brother.
Not feeling so good. Fell asleep holding W’s hand through the cot tonight and H woke me up. I’m not looking forward to the feelings the next few weeks will bring. But have many good things to make it feel a little easier, a new job, a lovely family with a cheeky kid, a friendly dog, footy season starting soon, a lovely house by the water

Makes me feel stupid and incapable when I do that.
Why and how am I being considered for higher roles when I can’t make it a full day at work sometimes? I’m such a piece of garbage.
