Worthless

Hello

I am wanting to know if anyone else feels just worthless. And what they did about that feeling that creeps inside of you.

Thanks

I think that's a pretty similar feeling Shelley.

I assume it always happens when your working on things, I just don't remember it specifically.

No breakfast today Sherie, but I did have a nice lunch which is new for me this week.

Were going to see Star Wars in gold class. I'm just looking forward to get out of the heat! Thank goodness it's going to be in the 20s tomorrow.

its a lovely thing you do taking that lady out Sherie. I would hate to be older and alone.

Hey Shelley,

Thanks so much for asking about me! I am feeling a bit better today but still finding life a little tough, working on my house has taken a toll on me it's been so hot and the work has been rather heavy but the real hard is done now so it will be a bit easier on my old bones…I was crushed 20years ago in a mining accident so that does't help anyway i work around that and just push on with what needs doing.

It's really windy here at the moment the solar panels on the container feel  like there going to lift it off the ground!!

Yes Lucy is laying at my feet as usual, lashed out the other day and bought her some doggie treats you know those strapz things she likes me to break small pieces off and hand feed her piece by piece, her normal diet is chicken necks (no chicken wings here) haha she also eats what I eat so she does ok, she has fantastic strong white teeth and a very healthy little dog. Sorry to bla bla about Lucy but she is my buddy as you know which I love dearly.

My brother has 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy! They all live in different states, My brother and his wife are going to Sydney to spend Christmas with one of there daughters so I get to feed there cats which I am pleased to do as he has been helping me with my build.

You asked me in an earlier post if I was feeling overwhelmed with all the women on this thread, I wasn't at the time but it was that day I crashed and blow me down I started to think about it to much and found myself totally overwhelmed, I don't feel that now I know it was just that I thought about it to much and my head was playing tricks on me..hate that over thinking.

My neighbour came over this arvo and asked me if I wanted to go to his his place for Christmas lunch I accepted so it will we good to spend some time with him and his wife.

Thanks for the hugs Shelley means a lot to me.

Evening all. Sherie I see your post arrived.

Sherie the 'cafe' idea would be just another thread, moderated like everything else. Just a place to gather under no particular subject and no-one's individual concern. Much like thread killer and the new game thread, but with more emphasis on chatting and imagining you're relaxing doing whatever you want to do. The inspiration is the Carol King song Hard Rock Cafe (google lyrics).

oooh Chookie, I'd like to see Star Wars. Hope it's fabulous.

I don't feel I've caught up with everyone properly today, and tomorrow will be a busy cooking day, but I hope to pop in sometime. Definitely before Christmas Day.

Very tired now, so goodnight everyone.

Kaz

Hey Wayne

I am so glad, you are feeling a bit better.  That would have been absolutely horrible to be crushed in a mining accident, and my heart is hurting because I can't stand the thought of that happening to you. I'm so sorry. I'm not sure what else to say there....... except sorry.

It does sound like you are working hard on your house though, so is it nearly finished ? And have you been jumping in your dam, since it is so hot there?

I can almost imagine a steel container, lifting off, so do the solar panels flap or something? Sorry about all the questions, I don't want you to feel overwhelmed by them or anything.

I know Lucy is your buddy, and I am guessing those strapz are dried meat in strips. I think I did buy them a couple of times for my dog Coco. I do understand what it is like to have a pet, when you live by yourself. I had a cat, called Taomi and she was a very sweet little thing. She was my only friend at one stage.

I am glad you are spending Christmas with you neighbours. I hope it is very restful for you.

With many many hugs to you

Hey Shelley,

You asked how my day was.  See my earlier post, it explains.

Wayne - Great to see you back here regularly again.  I'm sorry you got a bit overwhelmed by all the women on this thread.  But you really shouldnt, you can tell that we're a good bunch!   ( :

Totally understand about little Lucy being your buddy.  Holly is my best buddy too.  And I am very happy to hear that you do not have to spend Christmas on your own.  I hope you have a lovely day at your neighbours, who are very lucky to have your company.

And gosh, crushed in a mining accident sounds awful. You poor thing.  Is that what caused you to go from underground to above ground duties?

Kazzl - If you start that new thread you've spoken about, make sure you tell us here wont you?  Its been cool and wet here where I am too.  Lovely in fact.  I do so love the rain!  Sounds like you are getting into holiday mode.  Good for you, enjoy!  When are you due back to work again?

Anyway nite everyone.  Catch you again another time.  Love you all.

Sherie, just read your popped up post, it is a nice long one isn't it? It sounded like you had a good day, even with all the shopping. I am not keen at all with the rush and noise around shopping centres. So I try to do as much as possible earlier on. Though I do have to pop out tomorrow briefly, I hope..... to pick up some fresh berries. And it is so kind of you to take that dear lady out. That is such a special thing do to for her.

Well I probably should go to bed too, it is just past midnight. Though I might quickly head over to the" killer thread"and make sure that I am last. The last post I saw was from you though........

Hugs

Hi Shelley Anne,

It hurts me to hear of your pain because i know what this kind of pain feels like. I have been dealing with significant tragic life events which have turned my world upside down for a long time. As a result i can easily run out of energy and fall into depression, anxiety and feel worthless. What i've realised is that deep feelings or sadness, anxiety, stress, loneliness, depression, guilt etc cannot be measured by how 'serious' or 'significant' a persons issues or problems are. What i'm trying to say is that regardless of what is causing you to feel this way, it is just as bad for you as it is for anyone. Its all the same and its absolutely terrible. I feel for you.

I have realised that we need to find love, value and purpose in life. That is what it is all about. We are just too obscured by society and too busy to stop and realise that. What value am i contributing? What purpose do i have? what love am i putting out there in the world? People often get to a later stage in life where they reflect on this and realise they don't know. I think worthlessness relates to a feeling that you are not satisfying these things. I would like to challenge you here though, snap you into a zone. Could you be measuring how much love, value and purpose on how much of these you are receiving? How much are you giving?

You have a very very special opportunity.. you know the feeling, you can relate to people, you are dealing with it, and you are intelligent and articulate enough to share your feelings. If the world was black and white you are a bright light and people need you. Just look how many people you have connected here.

Society is blind sighting you, break away and help all of us. Help people in need, think about what you have learned and support others with the valuable knowledge and experience you have. You can absolutely flip this feeling on its head and have the power to have incredible value and purpose and share/give so much love. This will create a feedback loop and you'll receive this also.

Trust me, the world is full of blind sheep that are not sharing love value and purpose but they don't realise it. You see it on a deeper level now and can do this in a way that is truly meaningful, you can impact someones life. You don't have to change the world, but just deliberately thinking and giving is the most special thing a human can do, and the positive effects go further than you realise.

You are actually the opposite of worthless.

Hi Shell,

Yes, you took over from me as being the last to post on the Thread Killer site.  But I notice that I was the last to post on 23rd December!  Hooray......  I think you were the first to post for today though.

Hope you are able to find all the berries you need at the shops today.  Otherwise there wont be any pancakes with berries and cream for Christmas breakfast.  Oh no.........

Sherie xx

Good Morning Sherie

Ah you made me smile today... .. So thankyou kindly.

Hugs xx

Good morning to you too Shell,
