Hi Everyone,
I'm sure lots of you have had those moments where you don't feel comfortable with where you are at, you want positive changes, but you don't always know how to accomplish the changes you desire.
Me, I feel like I have been existing but not really living for a while now. Maybe, deep inside I was working on building strength and gaining more resilience.
Maybe sometimes we need to just sit quietly, allow our minds and bodies time to chill out and recover before we can move on.
I feel it is time for me to move on. I am not sure exactly what that looks like and maybe I don't need to know all the details. Having a plan as a guide certainly helps.
Writing down what I would like to achieve each day might be a good first step.
Acknowledging my road blocks to moving forward and finding ways around or over them is a good idea as well.
Either way, I have a desire to make changes where I can and to accept the issues I have no control over so that is a good thing.
Today I have the opportunity to make this day the best it can be.
How are the rest of you travelling?
Cheers from Dools

Hi Mary,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, especially about procrastination and all the thoughts, emotions and feelings around that. I might even Google "Procrastination" and see what comes up.
It does feel great when we have finally been able to get ourselves to do something we have been putting off for ages. It is interesting that when we are able to do one thing, the flow on effect of productivity can be astounding when you have put something off for so long for what ever reason!
Hope you have a successful outcome with Centrelink!
Cheers from Dools

HOW TO MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE
- Accept the situation I am in right now and consider what I might be able to change for my good and for the good of others.
-Eat a healthy diet where possible, include more fruit and raw vegetables.
-Encourage myself to go for a walk even when I tell myself I don't feel like it.
- Find something to do when I don't know what to do.
- Appreciate what I have achieved not think negatively about what I haven't even started
- Look at funny animal clips on the internet, or inspiration talks.
- Be kind to myself, learn to appreciate my good qualities more.
I'm sure there are lots of other ideas, strategies, tools or what ever you want to call them that we can use.
Would anyone like to share what they find helpful?

Dools
what a helpful list.
if you move on when you feel stuck or when you stumble, well I have to remind myself things will pass and I won’t always feel this bad.
I try to avoid negative self talk but I don’t go overboard in unrealistic encouragement either.
if I can hear toddler laugh or watch a lizard it can help me focus on the wonder of life.

Hi Quirky,
Some days are easier than others aren't they!
Funny you mentioned lizards. My husband called out to me last night soon after he went to bed. He asked me if I was any good at getting rid of lizards. There was a gecko on the bedroom wall. I put the little creature outside. It had such large eyes.
Today I am also making up a container of things I can do when I don't really know what I would like to do.
It reminds me of the comment that it is worthwhile to do a positive behaviour even when you don't feel like it, as you can benefit from the activity before you experience the good feelings you receive from it. (Or something along those lines!)
Cheers to you and all, from Dools
