Tears

Dear all (or dear anyone who reads this ... no bugga it, dear all ... why should I discriminate against anyone);

This is a simple post.

I want so much to cry.  I need to cry.  But I cannot cry.

Could anyone tell me, "Why can't I cry?"

Neil

Hey there it's Friday night but I wrote to you this morning & my post hasn't turned up. How are you today? I know your having a tough time but I hope your not getting worse. I spent the day on the forum trying to offer support to others. It kept me busy. I haven't left house or gone outside to the yard or the letterbox all week. I'm holding out for my pysch appointment but don't have much faith so I try to avoid thinking of it. Do you have family support & understanding? It's a hard one. I've craved comfort & reassurance this week. The nurses from acute team were compassionate & you guys. I started cring when I was writing to you this morning-I wanted to post but I think my msg may have been held back because of my inappropriate request. So what's planned for weekend? Take care precious friend, Mares x

Hi Neil

Wanted to chip in with a couple of thoughts - hope they are of use mate.

First, I'm yet to lose a parent, and not particularly close to them either, but do you find any consolation in you having such wonderful memories of your dad?  It sounds like you had a brilliant relationship, and shared so much.  While this no doubt exacerbates the feeling of loss, you can reflect at any time you choose on the great times, and reflect on the good times. (sorry if you've heard this hundreds of times!!)

Ok - I used to work in cricket so know a fair bit about this.  Have you thought about this as a career option?

If not a career option, what about coaching or umpiring?  Cricket would love to have someone passionate like you involved.  There's also the junior programs in cricket & footy you could get involved in - it would give you such a smile to see the little tackers having so much fun.

Hope it gives you something to think about, a few options.

Take care mate

Hey my friend, I just noticed over 400 people have read or looked at this thread. It's getting so long-do you have a title for a new one or we could call it Tears Part 2? I woke up very low today, fearful of my pysch inability to help me on Monday & dealing with my husbands frustration & comments that he's known for 5 yrs she isn't a good Pysch nor is my GP and I just don't listen & do what he advises. I didn't need that. I'm in a vulnerable position, every time he starts on it contributes to my self hate & wish that I could end all this. He never seems to get that I need gentleness & love & reassurance so that I can hold on, get thru this & find a different Pysch & GP?  I don't have great hope Neil & I've just finally told my husband I'm sick of him thinking he's the expert & it makes me feel hopeless. I need emotional support to get past this so I'm in a position to do things like go to a Pyschologist. Finding a new pysch won't be easy. I'm tired of it Neil-I don't have the will today to want to get through this. I'm so so sorry.

I came to see how you are? And I've broken down. Xxxx Mares

Me again-just wanted to apologise for basically talking about myself on what was YOUR post. Not great my friend. Anyway I think your post has the most views-over 400!! But what did you think of my suggestion to continue your current journey on a new thread as this is getting solo long. Sad about Stressless hey, I really hope she reads the replies. I couldn't believe where she got her "advice". I can only hope she reads the responses & has the confidence to return. How are you today? Any plans for the weekend? I hope you aren't feeling any worse? Please forgive my memory-do you see  Pyschiatrist?, Psychologist or any type of Counsellor? And take any form of medication? In other words what types of support do have? Hey your in my thoughts & I hope your weekend is not too bad. Check in on you tonight. Lve Mares x
