Hello Depressed24
Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums and good on you for having the courage to post too!
You are with friends already. There are many kind people on the forums that be here for you.
I have had acute anxiety followed by depression since 1983 and take meds. The forums are a judgemental free zone so your posts are no different to anyone here on the forums. Its like a family, so I hope you can let us embrace you.
I had a relative with schizophrenia and I have no understanding except how awful the condition is.
You are more than welcome to post as many times as you wish (when you are comfortable doing so of course)
If I can ask you.....do you have a support person(s) that you can talk or vent too? I have about 3 that I can talk to face to face and they understand mental illness which is a huge relief.
If you wish to post about your health or even if you just want to have a chat we are here for you 🙂
Is it okay if I call you '24'? If not no worries at all.
The forums are a safe and secure place to discuss matters when and if you wish to
I hope you can post back and we can get to know you better 🙂
my kindest thoughts for you
Paul

Hi Depressed24, welcome to the forum. Like Paul said, you are amongst friends here and we won't abandon you. Many of us know what it's like to feel lonely and isolated because of our mental health conditions, and what a pleasure it can be to know fellow travellers.
I'm Kaz, and I have bipolar type 2. I have real life friends with bipolar 1 and understand how hard and exhausting it can be.
I'd really like to get to know you, so when you're ready, feel free to come back and tell us a bit more about yourself. What do you like doing?
I recently read something that resonated with me - we are people, we are not just a diagnosis. Looking forward to talking with you.

Hiya Rachel!
That's an impressive list of interests. Did you know that studies have shown people with bipolar and/or schizophrenia tend to be highly creative? Sounds like you are! I like a lot of those things too - especially music, singing and sports. I'm not so good at saving money though, wish I was! 😊
Hey hun, I read your other post about school. I'm sorry things were so cruel for you. The horrible thing about being bullied at school is that the experience can stay with us for a long time, long after the bully has probably forgotten all about it.
I know this is a really hard thing to do, but if you can, try to keep those times in the past. Everytime you start to feel hurt or dwell on what happened in school, tell yourself 'stop. Those people don't matter now'. And then try to think of something that makes you feel happier - something you love or an activity you enjoy. And stay with those thoughts.
If you can do this each time you start remembering the bullying, eventually the memory will become less and it will affect you less.
How do you feel about having to leave the clinic? Would you like to find another place or people who can help?
Cheers Rachel - I'm glad you came back to talk.

Morning Rachel - just popping in to say hi and see how you are today.
Also, if you're interested, I have a thead under the Longterm Journey board called This Bipolar Life, where a few of us with bipolar and others who want to join in gather to chat and support each other. You are very very welcome to join us if you want.
Hope you have a good day today hun.
Cheers
Kaz
