I am not too sure about the area, but I did find something called as "Coffee and Chat Meetup in Sutherland Shire". I think the group meets once a week, it's a casual gathering with no age limits and no fees.
You can check with your local community or library, they may be able to provide you more information of what's happening locally. Also, check with your local council, they can guide you to appropriate support groups and services in the area.
