Isolated-cold-lonely and depressed.

As i live in an isolated regional area with all the cold weather with my depression i am finding life very hard at the moment. I am not new to BB but have not posted for some months but find myself needed help as I am sliding into a dark place which i seem to carry with me…

With not that much support available in my area at night i decided to reactivate contact on these forums as it was helpful then so why not now. STS

Hi Wayne. It has been some time hasnt it?

Sorry that winter seems to have brought with it 'the blues'. It has been very cold down your way, and you may have even got some snow this week?

So how are all your dorper sheep going? We still have your pet lambs in the Cafe by the way. Rambo and Millie. Of course they are big now and no longer bottle fed. In fact they may well have been lamb chops by now, but we couldnt let them go. They keep the Cafe grounds nice and neat as well as fertilised.

How is your house building going? I was thinking you may be in the house by now, rather than the shipping container. If you are still in the container, no wonder you are feeling the cold.

If I recall correctly, you had a brother not too far from where you are. Do you still see him and his family occasionally? Or perhaps the winter weather prevents you seeing him as much as you otherwise might.

I have forgotten the name of your little dog. Was it Maggie? Sorry, there are many dogs here these days, so your girls name has evaded me for now. Perhaps you can remind me. We have a Pet thread now if you would like to contribute a story about your dog or your sheep, or any other animal if you'd like. It is located in the Staying Well section.

I'm sure you will get a few replies soon Wayne, and I hope coming back here helps you feel less isolated. We do still have some of the same people here of course, plus lots of new people all the time.

I am currently watching the Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn Hawks, top of the table clash. Very close. C'Mon Swans.

Talk again soon Wayne.

Hi Sherie, so nice to hear from you and hope you are doing ok. Iam in my house which is only to lock up a bit brrrr at the moment as no internal lining or heating but yes still better than the container.

My dogs name is Lucy don't know what life would be like without her still love her to bits. My Dorpers are lambing at the moment they were joined with my Stud ram so there are some cracker lambs, one ewe had 4 beautiful little lambs i wonder where she fitted them all.

Don't see my brother much these days.

Pet thread sounds good i will check it out seem to spend most of my time with animals.

Go the Swans!!!!Yeah

Are you still working Sherie

Wayne xxx

Thats right ...... Lucy, of course. Ahh, lambing time is usually pretty busy I expect. 4 lambs, gosh thats pretty amazing. They are good mothers usually, so hopefully she rears them all to maturity. Are you still exporting your rams?

Sorry to hear you dont get to see your brother much these days. Is that because you are just too busy?

Yes I am still working .. but only part time - usually 2 days per week.

Unfortunately the Swannies lost 65/70 with a goal to Cyril Rioli in the final minute. But at least the NSW Blues turned the tables on the QLD Maroons last night with a come from behind final second try. That felt good!

Anyway, check out the Pets thread when you get the chance. There are some really nice feel-good stories there. You can contribute with something about Lucy or some of your sheep or something else if you'd rather. I look forward to seeing what you write. Of course I still have my little dog Holly, as per the latest profile picture.

My hubby is away for 2 weeks at present, so Holly is a real little godsend. She keeps me calm, safe, warm, motivated, etc. Just like a good companion animal should. (-:

Catch you later Wayne.

Hey Wayne

I almost have happy tears at seeing your name pop up again. You were always someone special to me. And I haven't forgotten you, because when I visit the local library, the "Shaun the sheep" children's dvd sort of stand out to me, and I associate that with you.

I am sorry Wayne you have been sliding into that dark place. Here is hug for you that I am sending on out to you. I hope you feel it. Is Lucy OK, does she still sit at your feet?

And you have got some cute little lambs again. Do you remember you used to write bah...bah?

So I am guessing you are pretty rugged up then, since you have no heating. Is it snowing there then? I can send you a virtual wool patchwork quilt, I could wrap the hug in it. It is pretty cold here as well. But I do have a heater on, and I am wearing a thick long jumper.

Can you give Lucy a pat for me? She probably doesn't remember me though...... Hope you sleep well, and feel better soon Wayne and that you are not too cold.

Much love

Shelley xx

Hello Wayne, I'm Narelle, a fairly new newbie, but enjoying it here, so far

Is that Lucy in your pic? If so, she's a little cutie.

I can imagine you feel isolated and I'm sorry for that, but the gang here is always here to listen. I can't really relate, because I live in a metro area, but depression is isolating from friends and family, so I can totally understand in that sense.

It has been cold in Adelaide just recently and I'm glad the sun was out today, I was nice, I spent a little while sitting outside with my cat Buddy in the sun, he loves being outside. I walk him on a lead and everything

Wayne! Hiya mate, welcome back. I'm sorry to hear you're not good at the moment, but gee it's good to see you!

Yes it's been a bit nippy round our way lately eh? Pleased to hear your house is progressing, and your sheeps are doing sheepy things. 😄

Hugs to you mate.
