Hi OhmeOhmy,
A warm welcome to the forums.
You sound so deflated, disheartened and just so exhausted. The anguish really comes across in your writing. I hear you...
Your post really resonated with me as I have struggled with depression and anxiety (predominantly depression with occasional bouts of anxiety) for a large chunk of my life.
When you mentioned the overwhelming sadness, I found myself nodding vigorously in understanding. The sadness that permeates every aspect of your life? It permeates mine too (sighs). Although my sadness doesn't necessarily manifest as vulnerability as in your case- I just feel like a zombie if that makes sense. But still...the overarching emotion is sadness...
Sure, I agree that we experience polarities as humans. Although my 2c- and I understand that not everyone will agree and that's perfectly okay- is I'm not sure if it's necessarily to make us appreciate the difference between the 2 but maybe it's normal to feel a range of emotions. I like to think emotions (generally speaking)exist on a spectrum, you know...
I have appreciated writing to you and reading your post.
Thank you for making me feel less alone.
I hope that you feel a tiny bit less alone by writing here too...hope we hear from you again (only if you wish).
Sending kind thoughts,
Pepper

hi ohmeohmy,
The overwhelming sadness is definitley something that experience myself. I describe it as waves, the wave pushes you under the water of this sadness and sometimes you dont know when you will next surface.and quite often the waves are unexpected and can hit you so so suddenly without realising it or having any time to prepare for it
im glad to hear you do have many more tools for helping with everything, they can help a huge amount however definitley dont fix everything.
you have definitely come to a great place for when you are feeling alone, there are so many lovely people on this forum to give you a bit of company or comfort when you need it
youre positive attitude is a blessing. yes the negative, sad moments arent fun but yes, i like to think that they do help us to better appreciate the happy moments.
