Good help is hard to find

Trying again today to get some help. Yesterday was a genuinely a shocker. Never met a Dr so awful. Dr was so inappropriate. I was looking for advice and contacts. I ended up googling the dr and found some other scathing reviews so certain now I am not being over sensitive. I won't name them of course.

So today I'm jumping on public transport to travel a couple of hours to see my former Dr. of 10 years. The noise and crowds are not things I'm particularly up to handling right now so feels a little like running the gauntlet. On a positive; I'm doing it.

Wish me better outcomes today.

Hello Miss Anne, good on you for pushing yourself to get out there and seek help. 2 hours is a long journey, hopefully they can refer you to someone a bit closer who isn't awful. It can take time to find the right doctor, sadly.

When I take long trips on public transport I take some headphones with some soothing soundtracks, like waves crashing on the beach or rain sounds, which helps with my anxiety, and a good book.  hope you'll come back and let us know how things went.

Thanks Jess

Yes it's far.. 2.5 hours. Just made my appointment with 2 mins to spare. On the plus side, I can use the services in that region on bulk billing. So as long as I can get myself there is good. Now to figure out the rest.

I also want to say good on you for pushing yourself. I am always anxious when it comes to public transport. That was great timing to travel such a far distance and make it on time. That is definitely one great positive for you today.
