If you could go back and give yourself some advice about coming out or dealing with depression or anxiety, what would it be? Who would you say you are?

Well, I'd be going back to 1989 for that... Such a different world. I would be honest about who I am and make that geeky kid excited about time travel being real.
I think I'd say, you are not alone and that it does get better... I probably would need to add that it is OK to talk to people about things, particularly when the world gets stuck and sadness takes over. I'd also tell me about a boy named Sebastian and that he really does like you and to let him know that you like him too...
Rob.

I'd say to me:
You're going to be doing things and seeing things you never thought you would. You'll be loved by so many and hated by so few.
There will be bumps in the road and there will be difficulties, ride the bumps and learn from the difficulties and when you can't bear it anymore, just hold on a bit longer. It does go away and things return to relative normalcy.
Go against what has been taught to you by environment and try to judge less. Most people are doing the best the can and if that doesn't match what you need for yourself then that's OK.
In time, you'll like the person you've become, when you realise you like yourself, many others will as well - probably before you do and they will tell you.
Love yourself - not many people truely, truely have your back, but you are one who does.
Measure your close friends by those you know would be there if you said "help". The rest are acquaintances.
It's OK to fall in love and it's OK to get hurt
I Love you
